Why is D2 WhirlWind a 16+ yr skill still function better than Cyclone? Even PoEReddit agrees.

Not even complaining about DPS / first hit nerf, or movement speed, which IMO were overkill when so many other skills today are better..

The small obstacles are a major problem, but not the problem with Cyclone. The feel and function of it is just not as good as original WW, even on non-cuttered, open area maps.

Was WW such a perfect skill over a decade ago?? There's no reason why Cyclone can't be ON PAR with such an old skill when it's basically the same thing or are we missing something here? Maybe the devs can (or can't) explain why this is as good as it gets in POE for such a classic iconic skill..

PoE is a great game, but melee skills need some re-work. Just make moving skills free from those nasty rocks and all players would be happy for sure.
