Porcupines - VERY UNFAIR MECHANIC

if you can offscreen enemies, seems fair enemies can offscreen you.
just use a granite when you see the first spike incoming and don't stand still, imo it would be very boring if nothing can endanger you

Bad argument. If you can kill 1000's of enemies, then an enemy should be able to kill you 1000's of times. No, monsters and players are not equivalent. Monsters don't have fun, they are there to generate fun for the player. Monsters don't purchase MTXs from the shop, players do. The game doesn't ever need to be "fair" to monsters.

I think that you completely miss the point.
It's a consistency matter there, and it's not even about damage there.

I can react when I see spikes coming from monsters in the screen, not that far from my character ( pressing granite is not such a hard thing to do honestly ), how come can you not react when they are coming from further away ?
( I have about 100ms ping ).

It's reaclast, always be on your guard, more mechanics like porcupines would be nice imho.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
you think freeze status effect is in game for good looks?

Have you heard of lightning coil, basalt flask, granite flask Etc?


or you could use broken ass IC like many suggest

basically another l2p issue by badies who want Everything handed to them and left click to win

vaal constructs are also pretty spooky along with spark mages now...

running around with -60 chaos resist even outside of maps in act 2 can get you some pretty close calls when getting shot at by entire packs of those green things

Its the one shot goes off screen and your dead reflect mechanic. Yes technically its a reflect.

Let me reveal a secret to you.
If you shatter enemies, all their projectiles instantly vanish. Projectiles released upon death INCLUDED. So, just make a build that shatters enemies (any physical crit build with Hatred, for example), and forget about those things.
Destroying corpses with Pyre ring should also work.
