Can you increase the difficulty? Game too easy now.

Monster crit multi is currently 130% default. How much more could you possibly want it nerfed?

(Actually, it might be kind of nice if default crit multi was 120%... for everyone.)

Then what accounts for the big difference between regular monster hits and crits? I see 1/10 of my ES go away versus 1/4. That seems a bit out of line with what you said. I'm not disputing that your numbers are right. I just don't think they're reflected well in-game?

Really my complaint here is spike damage.

ObOnTopic: I haven't reached level 92 with any character yet, so I don't know how people are bitching about getting 100 being easy.

The game shouldn't be balanced around no-life trust fund kids. Magic:The Gathering is an example of that, and it's a toxic, elitist, disgusting social sphere. I hung out on the outskirts of it for a short time, and got my fill quickly (me not being a no-life trust fund kid).

...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that?

They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons.
Well, the Armour formula can be kind of weird. For example, 50% mitigation of 100% damage becomes 43% mitigation of 130%, so it feels a lot like crit multi is 147%.

But more likely, you have some form of continuous regeneration active, and you're not factoring in the ES recovered during the time between noticing the hit and taking stock of how large it was.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Could also partly be rolling a hit on the top end of the monsters potential damage range and also rolling a crit.

No i haven't taken Zealot's Oath yet. I still have the delay. And I'm mostly getting hit by spells (fireballs from skeletons and the like) because I don't let melee mobs get in so close. I'm a squishy necro.

Increasing the base damage of everything would cause a lot more one shot type kills, if there's as many as players claim there are.

Probably this; good call. Especially if lightning; holy shit.

Maybe narrow the range then? and yes it's usually those lightning ball novas that hit me hard. so makes sense. high end of roll + crit... i can see that.

I dunno, honestly. Hope the devs can do something to appease at least some of all of us ;)

Game is too easy as in Softcore gameplay? If you want difficult gameplay - play in hardcore where your mistakes are generally punished. HC would be the answer to difficulty that your looking for.

so if im not building everything besides champion conversion or another 9k hp eq i make a mistake?
No rest for the wicked

2. Ease of 100! -- Ages ago what made the game amazing, was the fact it took an entire league to reach 100. Or at least that it felt like an accomplishment to get to certain levels. (Many of you will disagree with this because there is a large portion of players that grind out various toons versus going the distance, but hear me out.) These higher end players had a purpose to come on and grind hard. These ladders were what motivated people to log on. Getting top whatever was set in motion, but now players can do this within a week and leagues last a few months. Now some of you might claim that this isn't possible, but it is. It used to take ages for players to get higher levels...

From Feb 2013, a thread complaining about not being able to drop higher than lvl68 maps. Yes, LEVEL SIXTY EIGHT.

I don't think you understood what I was getting at. It has nothing to do with Map drops or that Map drops are low level. I've actually never had issues building a map pool or actually getting to endgame content (past 90+). The comment is towards that many people are logging off or stop playing after they hit 100 and that it is easy. The way to keep the community around longer is to either make the grind harder to keep them around to find more items for others (lower leveled people to purchase, people that want to rotate different characters, or other reasons). They have to figure a way to keep everyone around. The longer they're around, the chances of the economy booming.
