Wish POE worked with Mac
" Like others have said, just install Windows on your mac with the apple program called Boot Camp. It works like a charm and the game will run perfectly. The only hassle is you have to choose between OSX and Windows when you start your mac. Dernière édition par Sinnes911#3868, le 19 févr. 2013 à 15:48:43

" My inner CS grad cringed. Wine and various other ways to emulate the game work with some effort, and dual-booting should of course work. As time goes on I expect more game devs to code in a cross-platform way. |

FYI, you can use windows 7 for up to 120 day trial without paying for a license (google slmgr /rearm). It's a pain, but if you download an SP1 media refresh disk from somewhere reputable, you can use it for 4 months, then just re-install after that time is up. Even after the expiration the only thing you lose are continued patches. If you're running it as a secondary OS it doesn't really matter anyway since you're probably not exposing it to the internet. All of this is completely legal, though a bit of a grey area morally since you're using something in excess of the intended trial that you didn't pay for. However it's kind of ridiculous to expect someone to pay $100+ to play a game.
It would be better for GGG to have made this cross platform, but for some reason they went directX, so that's not likely to happen. With windows 8 currently flopping hard, and the steambox potentially making Linux a viable gaming platform, hopefully in the future we can be rid of windows. |
