Maybe quite trying to be a hipster and use a real OS like Linux.

Mac is BSD-based now. It's actually not that bad, it's just all the extra over-priced pretties and restrictions they tack on to it. It was complete and utter garbage before it was Unix based, and ran on Motorola CPUs. LOL, Motorola. Early PowerPC stuff was junk too, but it got better towards the end.

I don't see the point in paying extra $$ to have an apple logo on something when it just boils down to a prettified BSD with stupid shit tacked on. Pro-tip: BSD is FREE. I guess there's also their Mach Microkernel, but who the fuck even knows what that does.

I built my comp from the ground up, got Linux and Google Chrome, and went online and compared it to a top end $900 Alien Ware/$750 Valkyrie(yes valkyrie is cheaper, get over it AlienWare) and it had nearly exact specs. Mine cost me $387.92 buying everything from Tiger Direct and assembling it myself. I hate you Mac/Microsoft.

You're comparing the prices of hardware vendors that sell with optional Windows licenses to purchasing bargain hardware on tigerdirect to complain about what operating system you ended up putting on that hardware? Wait, what?
If we keep making thread's then maybe we can get some word on POE for mac!

Just install Windows using Boot Camp and you're golden. I'd much rather GGG kept their resources on game design rather than on an OS X port when simply booting into Windows on a Mac is so easy.

Also...I'm surprised there's still so much weird Mac hate out there, especially on a forum like this that largely isn't babies. People buy Macs because they prefer the OS and the way it lets them work. That's how it has always been, even back in the '97-'05 era when the hardware was lacking. Why is this something that so many people choose to hate on?
Wasn't there an unofficial Mac Client out there?

AFAIK nobody has actually ported PoE to Mac. That would be a lot of work. Julus's Wine wrapper is handy though for running the Windows version without having to to a full boot of Windows.
