EU Latency - Unplayable 2000 ping in the last couple of days..
So it's morning here now, as I suspected, the game runs perfectly now with a constant 60 ping.
I recorded the data with MTR, maybe you could see the difference between now and evening (when it doesn't let me play at all)? http://pastebin.com/tgc1BdiQ |

The time of day can do a number of things which impact internet connections. How do you connect to the internet btw? Is it DSL? or Cable? It could be a dying splitter or a bad DSL filter or something you could check yourself, the ISP would guide you through the possibilities as they help you fix it.
It looks like you're having less latency on that hop 2, but it's still pretty significant. The hop 2 destination is different for a couple of the tests, so it's less likely to be a problem with their routers, but more likely to be interference on the line, or some kind of modem malfunction. Same advice as from before, hook up a solid ethernet cable, power off the modem, wait a minute, power on the modem, and then call the ISP. |

" I did some tests. Called my ISP and they did every possible test. The conclusion is as follows: The problem is with GGG servers. Here is what my ping looks like ingame (right now): As you can see, the graph doesn't move at all, being stuck at 1500 - 2000 ping. ![]() But here is me pinging Frankfurt gateway from cmd: ![]() Average 62 ping. My ISP tested my connection with pingtest.net and speedtest and a bunch of other internal tests. My connection is stable and working fine, also any other online games I play work great. Can you please see what can be wrong on GGG server side? |

How did your ISP diagnose that it was a problem with GGG servers exactly? I'm looking at your pings to GGG a server and it's a bunch of nice 62ms replies. Did you provide them with a new trace report that showed packet loss from softlayer?
A flatline in the latency graph means you've been disconnected, and previous to the disconnection your PoE client recorded 1454ms latency. So it seems like your MTR reports aren't capturing while you are getting these disconnects. Was the ping test going as you took the screenshot? Using WinMTR gives more information, and includes everything that the ping command does. Maybe you have a firewall/QoS rule which is filtering PoE. Disable firewalls temporarily in your router and on the computer if you can. Turn off any other program or device which might be using too much of the local network, such as peer-to-peer programs, streaming video, or other downloads. |

" By eliminating possible causes. Evertyhing works fine, pings are good and no connectivity problems have been found. Besides, I play other online games with no problems, and I can't stress this enough that I played PoE for more than 3 years and this have NEVER happened. I haven't changed anything with my setup, but GGG change their servers constantly (they added BR servers lately) there are just too many moving parts on their side. " Ofc. I don't run torrents or downloads while playing or testing. And I don't have AV nor FW. |

New MTR tests
ran for 10 minutes - 5 withing login screen and 5 within the game http://pastebin.com/VD4gq5rV ran for about 6 minutes from just ingame http://pastebin.com/evsai31m |

Did the game timeout and do the high ping while you were capturing these traces?
|
![]() |
" Yes. the ping was mostly a flat unchanging line as always. |
![]() |
Did you capture it before it became a line?
|
![]() |
As of now, the game is unplayable. Once I log on, the ping jumps around 2-3 times and becomes a line.
I started the capture before I logged on so yes. |
