EU Latency - Unplayable 2000 ping in the last couple of days..

http://pastebin.com/kyzRk2ci

Never happened before. But now I can't even load any new instance, the game just doesn't load any assents and mobs.

Pressing F1 shows 0 ping (sometimes 1800+)

Called my ISP and they did every possible test. The conclusion is as follows:

The problem is with GGG servers.

Here is what my ping looks like ingame (right now):
As you can see, the graph doesn't move at all, being stuck at 1500 - 2000 ping.

But here is me pinging Frankfurt gateway from cmd:

Average 62 ping.

Any ideas?

bump.

can someone look into the data please?

Still have a problem playing
Could you do another MTR while playing the game, while you see the problem. The "no monsters loading" problem is a disconnection, but it would show your F1 latency to be a straight line, not spikes.

The "1800+" F1 latency usually means you had a short disconnection, but it reestablished. Sometimes this is wireless interference, sometimes the modem is dying or other hardware failure (loose or broken cables).

Did anything get installed or changed when this problem started happening? Like did you move your computer, or install some new game accelerator or downloading software? Is the computer plugged in with a cable, or is it wireless?

There's a spike in latency on hop 2, but nothing like what you described, so I'll wait for another MTR to try and diagnose this.
Hey ion

Here you go, I ran it again, the issue persists around evening hours and I can't seem to play :(

can someone from support help?

cant play for 3 days
Hey there,

Could you please let us know if you're playing on a wireless router at all? Your WinMTR report doesn't seem to indicate anything as severe as spikes over 1000 or any sort of packet loss which would explain it.

If you try connecting to some of the other gateways throughout Europe (and some which aren't, such as the Washington DC gateway), do you see the same results?
Hello Brian.

I'm not using wireless, just a network cable directly connected to the router.

Yes, I have tried all the gates (DC, even Australia) and the results are the same.

Pressing F1 ingame shows the ping getting frozen on a specific number for a minute or more and then changing to another ping number. The graph basically moves at 1 frame per minute..
The London gateway looks like it would have better latency than Frankfurt.

There seems to be a slight problem with your local connection, you are seeing spikes of up to 42 ms from your computer to the modem/router, and there should be no latency shown at all (it should be lower than 1 ms). It would be best if you could replace the ethernet cord with a new-looking one (no kinks or loose ends), and reboot your computer. I'm pretty sure this isn't what's causing your disconnects, but it's good to test with a solid local connection.

Highlighting the problems in hops 1 and 2:
| 10.0.0.138 - 0 | 662 | 662 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 |
| LNS-TSS-PT-02-lo0.bb.012.net.il - 0 | 662 | 662 | 7 | 10 | 355 | 8 |

| 10.0.0.138 - 0 | 381 | 381 | 0 | 0 | 42 | 0 |
| LNS-TSS-MR-02-lo0.bb.012.net.il - 0 | 381 | 381 | 7 | 11 | 478 | 7 |

The huge latency spikes on hop 2 are probably indicative of where the disconnects are happening. They can be caused by a number of things, since this hop is everything from your home modem/router to the ISP's office, including all the wiring in and around your building and down the street.

Shut your modem (and router) off and wait for a minute, then turn it all back on. Do an MTR again, to see if the latency spikes are still there (sometimes that is all it takes). If that didn't fix it, call your ISP and ask them to help with the connection, it's their job to test the line and make sure your modem is working correctly.

Thanks again Ion,

I wonder, why is it that all other games I play have no connection issues?

It's just Path of Exile.

If the connectivity was something like what you describe (on my hardware's end/ my isp)
wouldn't any games work properly? But everything works fine, besides poe.
PoE disconnects you if you miss 12 specific packets within 6 seconds. They're called heartbeat packets, and it's just your computer telling the server that you're still on the line.

You don't seem to be having the kind of trouble that would disconnect you in the report. If you play the game for a while, while the trace is running, you will capture the disconnection when it happens. It will probably show something like 1% to 2% packet loss on hop 2 along with ~2000-4999ms worst pings on hop 2.

Edit:
Does it even let you play for a while?
