also there is no reason to lock this

The penchant has already been proven though :) How about a compromise. We get this thread locked, and you do a new thread with a Strawpoll along the lines of:

Do you agree with the decision to give Streamers precedence for the Closed Beta?

A) Yes - they provide extra advertising and potential revenue streams for GGG as well as a wide base of viewers for catching or identifying potential bugs and issues

B) No - they provide no real benefit to GGG and should not be seen as having a greater right of access than other players

already got an answer for that

also i acknoledge that streamers can lure people into playing POE, but i doubt its a great number. People that watch POE stream are mostly people already playing POE, Beta key should be given to famous streamers that want to convert to POE to display the CB. Even if its an incompleted and buggy version of the game, its still better than the actual with its desync.

I can also confirm that with GGG's decision of favoring streamers and spitting on supporter, i will no longer support GGG financially and i hope many others do so. GGG already had people that showed they are willing to take out the credit card to support them and yet they shit on them.

I am not actually joking this time, I really would like to see what kind of numbers the poll would end up with - are the vocal few making a mountain out of a molehill, or are there really a large group of people who feel pissed off about it?

I can understand both sides, but I value the contributions of streamers (although I think streaming is dumb, and would prefer to hit myself in the face than watch someone else playing a game, unless they are in the lounge with me and we are having a few beers), so I am comfortable with them getting immediate access.

However, while there is a lack of reasoned response as to why streamers SHOULDN'T get that benefit (outside of fairness, equality, blah blah), is this actually something that could potentially hurt GGG's wider image?

Supporters thus far have supported the ongoing development of the game - that is what GGG is endeavouring to do, continue the development. IF the Act 4 content was going to be gated on release behind a pay wall or some other, I would say you have a point - a closed beta though doesn't meet any realistic criteria for breaching your support or trust.

This is like working hard on getting a girl, she's the girl of your dream and damn you work your ass off to get her. Date her a couple of time, spend money on activities to make her feel a great moment in your presence. On a Monday she tells you, our relation is going far, and i would like to take it further(first sex together) on friday night, you'd feel freaking happy, but they she tells you that everyday of the week till that friday moment she'll be fucked by different random guys that she barely knows that never did any effort or guys she told you " he's just a friend".

This is what closed beta feels for a supporter like me
