1500 fusings to Vorici 6L is a noob trap

Over my thousand+ hours played, I have used at least 6000-7000 fusings, if not more, on 6S items (the most notable being a Shavronne's Wrappings and a tri res ES chest with life that I used on an EB wander) and I have never actually gotten the 6L. I never even try to 6L anymore.

Getting a definite Berta Lovejoy vibe from the OP throughout this thread.

Since most of the socket and linking options for Vorici are roughly 25% more expensive than what you would need to get there by doing it yourself on average, i would assume that it is similar for 6-linking.
Of course these numbers are meant for linking all sockets on the item so you have a considerably higher chance to for example get a 4L or 5L on a 6s item if you link them yourself. Quality and what sockets/links are curently present on the item also influence the chances and you will have a higher chance rolling a 6L from a fully unlinked 6s compared to when it already has a 5L.

In Rampage league I saved 1700 fusing to 6L my +3 fire staff and guess what it failed. I've never had good luck with fusings. I saved another 1500 and got someone else to 6L my staff via Vorici.

This isn't a horror story this is just what happens so don't rage. Whatever GGG does they do for good reasons they have the stats.

I play since 2011 and I never Fused a 6L.

I suppose this would be the wrong time and place to mention that I found a mirror a couple of weeks after starting? And found my shavs with 0%IIQ and IIR...
