Zealot's Oath

Well my friends ...
If I choose the skill Zealot's Oath granting "Life Regenerantions applies to Energy Shield instead of Life," and use spells and weapons with life leech will recover the effect of Life leech wrath for the shield?

Leech is not regeneration
Another question regarding Zealot's Oath, specifically regarding interaction with Vaal Pact, is your HP regen converted to ES regen and then set to zero (at which point it would already be zero) or does Vaal Pact just make Zealot's Oath useless? I'd test it myself but... it's a lot of points.

As I see it Vaal Pact renders Life Regen useless and not reduces it to 0 (never used the skill correct me if it does make it 0)

So you would have 10 % life regen for example but it doesn’t apply.
This will be converted to 10 % ES regen if you use ZO.
Since ES regen is not mentioned in Vaal Pact the Regen should work.

It shouldn't work. Zealot's Oath is a modifier to life regeneration that changes the mechanics, but it's still based on life regeneration (life regen from passives and gear still apply, altough the % is based on energy shield now). Vaal Pact makes your life regeneration 0, thus making ZO regenerate 0 energy shield.

Are you 100% sure that it sets Regen to 0?

It says: The Vaal Pact keystone passive skill gives the following effects:
Life Leech applies instantly
Life recovery from Flasks and Regeneration has no effect

"has no effect" is not clear on the matter at hand.

The flaw in your logic there is that Vaal's Pact says:
"Life recovery from Flasks and Regeneration has no effect"

specifically life recovery. Not "Your life regeneration has no effect." It's ambigious, needs to be tested and confirmed rather than speculated, imho. That or if a dev who would care to comment. ;)
ZO is broken - just a total CI buff. IMO it should be based on what your life is (or would have been if you take CI) instead of ES.

Then it would be absolutely worthless as you'd end up with a very low amount of regen. Not to mention that picking up life regen from the tree is already very inconvenient for CI builds except for Templar (who still has to basically waste a skill point to reach the regen node at his start). Both Troll's and Golem's blood are far away from Witch/Shadow, the two classes most likely to get CI. Which is okay I guess but that doesn't make ZO broken for CI. And if it's a buff for CI then I'm fine with that, it got nerfed enough already.
