If you have lag/connectivity issues making the game unplayable/annoying, post here and be counted.

not sure what the problem is exactly, but PoE isn't the only game effected, World of tanks EU servers seem to be getting bad latency as well.

It seems as though there are some routing issues at networklayer.com, i do feel that due to the scope of this issue GGG should take some responsibility and figure out what is going on here? If not they will just lose potential players/income.

Other online games are working perfectly fine......

Just a matter of time for me.....

I'm from Germany ... What's wrong with the European Server?

Unfortunately now unplayable (horror ping) ...

Please fix it.

German Telekom is wrong there. DTAG and Frankfurt/"Level 3" are causing trouble, not only for PoE I discovered. It seems they have some capacity trouble there, nothing GGG can change except try to avoid that knot.

It's not an issue that we can simply fix, otherwise we would have done so.
If you contact your provider you can get them to investigate the issue further, and the more people that report the problem, the more likely they are to actually do something about it.
I've been trying to figure out for a while whether the problem is on my end or with my ISP... At times the game runs smooth and then randomly lag spike shoot off. When I check my latency in-game I'm hitting nearly 2k latency.

Hey there,

Was this trace performed while you were experiencing lag in-game?
Looking at the first hop of the connection:
| 10.0.0.1 - 14 | 76 | 66 | 0 | 1 | 5 | 1 |
It's showing 14% packet loss, and this is carrying over to the subsequent hops, which will definitely be causing you a lot of issues in-game.

Are you using a wireless connection?

Something kind of odd. I have been playing for a while now without issues on my desktop. Tonight I decided to try playing on my laptop instead (wireless connection) and have been having major issues with my connection. I don't seem to have any other connection issues on my laptop, I can download just fine, and speedtest.net gives me a great speed.

Something to do with my laptop and/or its connection, clearly.. possibly not related to the issues others here are discussing, but the symptoms are identical.

Here is my trace for what it's worth:

That 10.0.0.1 number represents your modem/router that you're connecting through.
When you have latency spikes/packet loss to this point, each point/hop after it will also have the same trouble, which will cause your game to disconnect or lag often.

The best way to improve this situation(assuming you cannot switch to an ethernet cable) is to minimize the amount of objects/walls between your computer and the modem.
If you can't do anything about that, changing the channel that your wireless network broadcasts on is the next best thing, as this problem could be due to interference from other wireless devices/networks.

To change the channel, you just need to Google 'change wireless channel' and then add the name/model/brand of your modem, and this should find you a guide to do this.

If you can't find one, let us know the name/model/brand of modem you're using and we'll track one down for you.

I'm using a NetGear N300 Wireless Router. I've checked the settings on my router and I believe I see what you're talking about in my wireless settings.

There's a drop menu for channel. It's currently set to [Auto] but it has numbered channels 01 to 11. Is this what you were talking about?

Yes it is.

If you try changing it to the various other settings it has, you may find one that performs better and thus resolve this issue you're having.

Let us know if none of them improve the situation.
