I have also huge latency spikes since a few days (patch ?).
I'm around 40 ms on european gateway (france) and have 1000 ms spikes every few seconds !!!
I had no probles before (several chars are 70+).
My network tests are ok and no problems on other games i play.
My isp is a french ISp: Free(Iliad)

Failed to join instance
unable to connect to connecting server
unable to connect to patching server

Impossible.

No problem on other online game

Upgraded internet connection today from 5mb/1mb to 15mb/2mb, worked fine about 9hrs ago, was 100 and below in-game latency. Now I'm hitting 2000+ :| tried all the gateways even new one same issue, was able to get about 10mins in low latency then switched area back up again, totally unplayable :(

After switching network cables, switching router, removing router and connecting directly to cable modem and now finally upgrading connection I have to assume this is as a result of server load cause I cannot even begin to imagine another reason at this stage...

Same here lagging and getting disconnects like hell and the problem is not from my internet.

Yesterday I erased and reinstalled POE and the problems are just worst...My PC is a beast my internet is Excellent and my favorite game is absolutely unfuckingplayable. The game was running much better in Alpha. wtf happened? There are literately no good games that interest me except Poe and it's broken. The RNG gods are quite cruel .I don't understand how things can get so jacked up.And when I address certain Twitchtv. streamers about this problem they say there is no way GGG can fix it so basically need to move on? GGG please tell me this isn't true?

I'm basically feeling the same way this guy is. I want to play PoE but I can't because of these latency issues. I have no problems in any other games and before I took a few months break from PoE I had absolutely no latency problems. Upon return on the 19th of May I am entirely unable to play hardcore mode (and i am not interested in softcore).

My latency mostly stays at 66/67, but often feels like 150-300 (spikes don't show up on the latency graph to reflect that) there is delay on most actions also every 10-20 seconds or so I get a spike of 500-2500 (that does appear on the graph) which lasts for a second or two and causes desync and death. I have many characters and have clocked a lot of hours in this game so i know how it is meant to feel.

This occurs in all in game locations and on all 3 gateways.

Recently I've played several other mmorpgs and have experienced no latency issues whatsoever.

This post probably won't help the situation in any way but all i can do is report my experience. Good luck fixing the issue GGG.

Have to enter unlock code multiple times every time I play the game.

Game freezes on loading screen when I try to enter zones. Reinstalled game multiple times, even using a VPN, defrag, packcheck over 10 times, etc. Still not working. Game played fine for months, so it's not my machine.

Great and fun game, but the technical issues ruin the experience.

Count me in.

I find it strange how I can play CS:GO on a steady 40-45ms without spikes.
When I play PoE it suddenly changes to a 50-200ms spike curve.(Yes my deathcount is high today)
And add a couple of disconnects to login screen to that.

So GGG please stop saying it's something wrong with the players connection.
Call Gabe and borrow his magic wand.
