After numerous deaths caused by what feels like packet loss, I've decided to quit playing Path of Exile. I feel most sorry for those who've spent more time/money here. This is rather deplorable. Maybe in the next few eons this game may become playable.

I have a 4000 euro gaming comp and last few days ive been getting terrible lag spikes.
aslo I tried dropping graphics down to really low - same lag spikes. trust me this is not my computer lagging. problem is in network/server side. hope ggg can fix this cuz i really like poe, this makes it a crappy gaming experience. edit. i'm in norway. on a 40/40 fiber Hardcore is how we play ™ Best ladder ranking so far: OhSnapIsRerolling, rank 85 HC Nemesis League Dernière édition par ohrlylol#7338, le 28 févr. 2013 à 09:43:16

Add me to the list, I spike and disconnect at least 3-4 times an hour. The culprit is packet loss, at a staggering amount. I play on what is essentially a state of the art gaming desktop, with a 55mbps connection, US east coast.

I'm having issues logging in when I'm home, but when I'm at school there is no problem with logging in.
When I log in at home I get the message "Failed to connect to instance" but when I log in at school I log in right away and plays fine. what should I do with my internet connection to be able to play at home? |

Alright, some of you people are having connection issues unrelated to pathofexile.
I am for example, having some fairly major connection issues too. My ping regularly flatlines every 30 seconds or so and lasts roughly 5 - 30 seconds. So picture me deciding to kill a boss like kraityn. I talk to him and everything seems fine. Hes a little bit slow to respond but otherwise seemingly fine. I start the battle and start attacking. Suddenly my ping flatlines and I get completely desynced(/oos does nothing). Then 10 seconds later everything starts moving again but im already dead. Thats after Ive spent the last 10 seconds spamming skills into unresponsive enermies while my ping is flatlining. If im really unlucky, I hit 'respawn' and it takes a good 30 seconds+ for it to realise ive clicked respawn. I get into town and decide to ID some rares. I open my inventory and rightclick a scroll. Now when I try to leftclick on an unid item (rare in this case), it just does nothing and the scroll stays on my cursor. About 15 seconds later, my ping recovers and the item is identified. I walk up to the shop to sell my junky rare and successfully sell my blues and rares to the shop. I hit esc and suddenly a wild desync appears! Now I cant move because when you hit esc in a shop menu, it takes you back to the conversation menu for that NPC but its invisible because Im desync'd. Thus im stuck till my ping recovers. I hit f1 and look at my ping and its either constantly spiking between 230 and up to 1000+m/s or its flatlined which generally means im out of sync. (Ive been partied and talking to friends over skype while playing with them and my ping flatlined and they said I was still running around) My connection is nice and stable in any other game other than PoE, yet it still isnt GGG's fault because 2 days ago I decided to take my computer to a friends house in another suburb close to mine. PoE worked nearly perfectly at his house with only minor desync issues. (getting hit when nobody visibly attacked you) Now I got him to use pingplotter on his computer and connect to Pathofexile.com and I did the same. Hes with a different ISP so he connects to different things than me. Nevertheless, he still had packetloss at nearly the same points. Yet his PoE worked fine and mine did not. Edit: just tried connecting to different gateways and this does nothing. Dernière édition par p0rt#1038, le 28 févr. 2013 à 17:52:40
