Microtransaction prices - a bit too high?

Price it high then put it as the daily deal at 25% off and suddenly everyone is scrambling for the amazing deal being offered... Retailers have used these tricks forever. Yea I think they are high but we get to play the greatest game in the world for free and don't have micros shoved down our throats in game. I'd much rather keep these prices and business model than start seeing cheap microtransactions that are advertised everywhere.
It's also worth mentioning that skin xfer mtx's are pretty damn cheap and with more and more unique art coming out every day it's becoming cheaper to get a good looking character if you don't mind farming the gear in game |

Prices are more than ok.
You can easily afford supporter packs or mtx items when u got a simple job. 50$ /month thats like a few hours at work. Before u complain about the prices u should maybe. - Stop drinking alcohol - Stop smoking - Stop wasting money on Drugs etc - Stop sitting at home the whole day and get a job - Stop giving your GF your Credit-Card I dont get people who complain about the shop items if the game is free2play. There are enough people who can afford the mtx and the Support packs. So tell me one reason why the prices should be lower? _________ If you cant afford it.. well thats your own problem, no one is forcing you to spend money for mtx. as in real life, there are also some online luxury goods. And not everyone can afford them. 7777777777777777777777777777777777777777

The cosmetic effect need to be at a lvl where not EVERYONE will have them otherwise whats the point.
We all know what they are. They are there to make the people who want to support that company stand out visually from other characters. If they were 5c each and everyone had a lighting scorpion what would be the point? Its a tricky balance to find. Too cheap and they are too common to expensive and you price everyone out. Ive felt this way since i started. People dont feel good about dropping 40 dollars for a skin effect at one time. But if the same player could get 3 skin affects for 40 dollars it would happen more often.
If everything in their shop was like 8 dollars, i gurantee you not only would I, but a lot of others would drop money every month because we wouldnt feel bad a 50 dollar skin. Just my 2 cents. |
