Bow physical damage support gem

Since melee has one, and physical damage is pretty nice with it, how come you guys havent added one for bows as well?

There are quite a few people going physical damage on bows now and this gem would be really useful, you can just add the same gem and just change the name, the progression seems ok with it and at level 20 49% more bow physical damage is ok, should be balanced.

You should probably let it apply to wands as well like Iao suggested, they need some love too!

If there should be one, it should be for ranged weapons in general. Wands need some love! Plus other possible weapon types in the future.

However I'm very iffy about this. Really it'd mean just another multiplier available to physical damage conversion, which is already so damn strong for bow users. Edit: Added damage based on physical damage as well.

Im not sure if it would affect damage conersion too much, people who do the LA+Blackgleam thing are better off going for weapon ele damage, and they dont really have enough links to add in bow physical damage as well, since they need life leech, lmp, faster attacks, chain

Yeah, you're probably right about socket real estate. Though just to make it future-proof, it'd be nice if the support did something like "enemies take X% physical damage", which is like elemental resistance penetration simply because physical damage already has "armor penetration" built in, the more of it per hit.

Good point, they could replace faster attacks with it for more damage on hit.

That sounds good, enemies take % more physical damage from ranged attacks(or with bow/wand), this would also apply to wands then, and it shouldnt be hard to implement since they already have the melee physical damage, that means they can change that gem to ranged or to make it apply only when you attack with a wand/bow, and then make the damage on hit like a penetration gem, right?

thats too much text.. for not much use, the most armor a mob has is 930, which means you need to do 1k phys on it to break it, it would be much easier to add a gem that says X% more phsyical ranged attack damage on it like a MPD gem, but for ranger and on hit.

but on the other hand, this gem would make PvP a bit better for physical damage users

I've always wondered why they didnt add a physical pene gem when they added all the ele pen gems..

those mobs are really rare,and so are endu charge mobs, the number isnt a lie, i got that number from neon.
