Aggro range is way too high

Reduce the aggro range on mobs. By a lot. Seriously, ranged mobs should not be able to shoot me while they're completely off my screen and then some. It makes some areas so cheap and tedious. This seems like such an easy thing to tweak, why hasn't it been done by now?

Only 1 mob type does this really and it only appears indoors. Use line of sight as advantage and close in.
I confirmed that I am still in HC league. Then I died.

not only that but he has weakest defense and HP out of all opponents, and his fire speed is slow. Just don't run in straight line towards them OP

which mob?
I think they're talking about the annoying chaos damage constructs in the Vaal ruins and the pyramid.

Easy to say for one, but in the ruins there's usually at least 3 on you in every room and then while you're fighting those 3 even more are on their way because the aggro range is so stupidly high. And its even harder on melee because you can't easily hit them if they're on stairs or platforms shooting you from 50 yards away.

You can't tell me there's not a problem with the aggro range. You can't even go afk for a few minutes in this game because a random mob from 5 miles away will somehow find you. Mobs and players should have the same aggro range. Only enemies on your screen should get activated. It's only fair.
There are a few more. Goat Shamans start spamming spark before you can see them and the False God does as well. Really just spark mobs in general. Spark skellies. Spark named mob in cavern of wrath. Then there is still hailrake, who spams ice spear off screen.

Anyway, I think the OP means the aggro range in general, not just for mobs that can fire from range. Just a problem with "the mob can see me before I can see the mob."

^Thank you. I forgot about the spark mobs.
Merveil and Hailrake are just using multiple monitors and a high res mode.

All of them can be defeated with careful play. You just need to play smart. I never had problems with my melée shadow or melée marauder. One uses shield charge to close the distance fast and the other uses leap.

But I do agree that although you clear your room and surrounding rooms mobs still come from somewhere. Probably not a problem with aggro but to much monster wandering.
