Intel HD Graphics 3000.............
Glad you weren't looking to get trolled, TomLatimer, because it wasn't going to happen here. ;)
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. Dernière édition par Foreverhappychan#4626, le 11 juin 2012 à 22:17:17

Thanks for the response, bah sadens me that they put such rubbish graphics card in these laptops, when i do become a wealthy man i shall buy a super computer which will scare other computers. Its a shame because diablo 3 doesnt look that much more complex than diablo 2, they always have to go and make it pretty to apeall to the masses and sacrfice the average computers at the same time, it shall be their downfall. To be honest path of exile looks sick, seems to have a well thought out skill tree, altho i feel its lacking a personal skill tree which would of been the iceing on the cake but still, looks sweeett

" With low settings, and a small resolution PoE should run at a playable frame rate. It won't be the bees knees but it'll be far more playable than Diablo 3 would be for you. Not many people really optimize their games for low end graphics cards, or laptops, outside of Runic Games whom make Torchlight. If you're really unsure about the $10, GGG does Open Beta weekends on and off again, and when it goes to regular Open Beta status plus Release, it'll be Free to Play so you could always wait and see how it runs for you then. And if you want to try Diablo 3, you can ask around online (or a friend maybe) for a guest pass key which let's you play the "Starter Edition", the first 11 levels in Act 1 up to the Skeleton King. You'll have to do the same config file tweaks with the Intel 3000 but you'll be able to see the extremely low frame rate it runs at. I got D3 for free and even for free, at like 5 frames a second it's just not worth playing. That's with every detail on low, in the smallest resolution possible, in a single player game. I'd hate to try a full four person game. |

I just bought a new computer with Intel Core i3 and integrated HD 3000 graphic in it. The game is playable with resolution 1280x1024 however I had to disable shadow and post processing options. The frame rate is around 20 - 25 fps and it drops when the screen is filled with more action. It is not enough for comfortable playing and my eyes getting tired with not smooth scrolling.
I'm looking for any hints on how to tweak that HD 3000 to make it more efficient for PoE. I read some positive reviews on the graphic capabilities and hoped that I would save some money on separate graphic card but it looks I will have to buy a better one if more tweaking is not possible. Shadows and and antialiasing add a lot quality to this game and I'd like to have them turned on. Antialiasing is always off and not even possible to enable. I don't want to reduce the resolution since my LCD matrix is 1280x1024 and other res would prescale the screen pixels. I can still play it in window mode with smaller res but I prefer fullscreen mode like most of you. I updated the graphic drivers to the latest ones and that helped to gain a few fps but it is still below expectations. Ah, and I installed my old Windows XP and perhaps Windows 7 use the system better because it's 64bit. If you also playing PoE using HD 3000 please share your thoughts and perhaps we will find some good and not expensive solutions to boost the game quality up and at the same time play it with reasonable fps. |

my old laptop is an x3100 chipset and with IGRM and a modded driver i can get 20-30 fps on the game. some areas are bad like act 2 but i also have a gaming rig with a 570ti and i get bad performance on this game with my gaming rig around 40-80 fps and frequent errors. but overall ide imagine if u look around online u can find a decent driver for the intels. if i play d3 on my laptop with the x3100 i can fully play the whole game without many issues. except for act 2 sewers which is way to power hungry and i just stutter all across the sewers. not a miracle but i can pull 15-30 fps. on my lappy that is

" Here is the main problem: With a laptop your basically limited by your battery life. This is why GPU's and CPU's based on laptop architectures are always less powerful than what you find in a regular desktop build. You can get so called "gamer" laptops with decent graphics cards and the heavy hitting AMD/Intel processors, but they also cost a good deal. It will always cost more than what you'd pay for a prebuilt desktop PC for gaming. Those who build their own rigs win by default with the best bang for the buck. |

My laptop has an Intel HD Graphics 3000 card as well. This game looks incredibly amazing. From what I've read in this thread, PoE seems to play well with the HD 3000. If anyone has anymore information about how well it plays, please post. Graphics aren't the biggest concern for me, but smooth gameplay is. As long as everything is fluent than I am fine. The only other concern is playing at a good resolution. I am wishing to play on 1366 x 768.
If anyone can please answer these questions, I will be greatly appreciative. I want to support this excellent looking game, but I need to make sure I can enjoy it with my current system specs. Thanks all |

My tech specs here:
CPU: DualCore Intel Core i3-2125, 3300 MHz (HD Graphics 3000 integrated*) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D2V System: Windows XP SP3 + DirectX 9.0c Monitor: LG L1753TR (matrix: 1280x1024) * I downloaded the latest drivers for HD 3000 from Intel website. It slightly improved the game fps. I'm using these settings in the game: Screen resolution: 1280x1024 Display mode: full screen VSync: YES Shadow Type: No Shadows Antialiasing Quality: OFF (that option is not possible to enable) Texture filtering: Trilinear filtering Post processing: NO As mentioned in my earlier post, the game is playable with above settings but not smooth enough for comfortable playing. I receive around 18-25fps on average. In some places it may drop a bit below that and in places not intense graphically it raises to around 30fps. Without the variance shadows mapping the game loses a lot of its graphic quality but I have no choice for now otherwise the fps drops to unplayable level. I will wait with buying a video card until official game tech specs are announced. Perhaps that HD 3000 performance will be fine until then.
