Intel HD Graphics 3000.............

Hey guys, now I am not looking to get trolled but my laptop is pretty crapola but its all I own at the mo, as the title suggest my graphics card is a Intel HD Graphics 3000, 4 gig ram yadada. Oh also sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section but im not much of a forum stalker. So, was wondering...will it run? or has anyone played it on similar shizz, I dont havve this key shizz so dont no myself. Any help would be welcomed, any flaming would be entertaining. Cheers
hey there I play with an intel hd 2000, so a good bit worse than the 3000. The game runs smothly on low details if you play alone. Once you party with more than 3 players who use effect heavy stuff performance drops.

The game looks a lot less pretty on low details but it will run.
Ah phew, I could not seem to find annything online concerning the terrible ability of the Intel Hd chip ( which everyone cannot wait to tell me how bad it is ) and its compatability with PoE. But thats releiving as i have been looking for a good game to play since D2 then skyrim, boredem sunk in hard.

I Dont suppose you no when the game will actually come out? and will we have to pay monthly like some WoW crap.

Cheers
The game will be going into open beta(availible for everyone) in about 2 months, but if you can get hold of a beta key you can start playing right now. There will be no monthly costs, the game is free to play.
Bang tidy! thanks for the response mate, I guess I shall see you folks in 2 months.
I have a laptop with core i3 350m 2.3Ghz, 3Gb ram and intel hd(1st generation) and the game is fully playlable at lowest settings(800x600), fps around 30-60 in most places

just check back regularly, as release is all speculation and conjecture until GGG confirm it.

I actually thought we were less than a month from release

I'm also playing on a laptop using a Intel Series 4 (4500 HD) and the game runs generally ok. There's a few spots in act 1 and 2 that drop the frame rate some but overall it's playable. Also like the 3000 you'll see a frame rate drop when grouping with other players whom are also using spell / skill effects.

But yes it's very much playable for me. Much more so than Diablo 3, and about tied with Torchlight 1 & 2 for performance. You won't waste your money basically :)
Ah thanks. Talking of D3, how does that run on this spec? not so great ive heard, but then i have seen vids on youtube of people playing on intel hd 3000 and it looks alright tbh.

Also with this being the closed Beta and all will the game see alot of changes upon being released? ( like new spells and shiz )

Diablo 3 is virtually unplayable on most Intel cards. If you look at their "unsupported graphics card" list, you'll see a fairly big chunk of the recent years Intel series of cards.

You can't even launch the game with most Intel cards because it literally pops up an error message saying your card is unsupported. To get the game to even open you have to do some configuration file editing for one of the Diablo 3 files (d3prefs.txt if memory serves me), and then hit Escape when that error message comes up. It will bypass and launch the game. You'll see a good frame rate on the character selection / creation screens but in game you'll be looking at about 1-5 FPS (no joke). Even with a quad core cpu, a lot of ram, the Intel series of cards just can't cope with D3. Which is sad for an isometric game, you look at their tech support forums there are thousands of gamers using Intel cards. If I can get 60+ fps in some fully 3D rendered mmorpg's then a isometric game like D3 should at least get more than 5 frames.

But alas it doesn't. Plus I dislike a lot of other abouts about D3 but there's been waaay to much discussion about that here. I like PoE, it's a great game, and easily worth your $10 for a beta key. I also enjoy Torchlight, though PoE is still superior in my eyes :)
