[3.23 UPDATED] Bergerbrush's Beginner Friendly Death's Oath Occultist

Thanks so much for the guide! I've done Death's Oath before but this time I went all the way!! I wanted to share my somewhat min-maxed version for anyone interested. I'm getting around 15.4MM DPS and love the build!
POB https://pastebin.com/B0WRnTEw https://pobb.in/aRg2yVvcaVKZ Interesting Items Bow Pretty standard except t1 Chaos DOT Helmet Double elevated for -chaos res to enemies and mana res Amulet Corrupted for more dmg. Other option is movement speed I tried but preferred dmg for the build. Rings Corrupted for more resistances to fill my gaps. Quiver This was agony to get all T1s. It took 23 hunter exalted orbs on a 1/9. Gave me 2.3MM more DPS Gloves Double elevated for chaos dmg. Made a huge mistake finishing the craft by crafting life and exalt slamming a suffix. I have plenty of life and would much preferred a suffix res craft now. Ahh well. Belt Used fossils to craft and then ran lab for the enchant for more dmg Death's Oath Corrupted for DMG. I bought it for 1div and corrupted my own for LoLs, hit 44% dmg and sold it for 7div. ^_^ Hope it helps someone in future trying to push the build further! | |

I just wanted to try this build out in Standard SSF as I still had a Death's Oath lying around.
However, when I coloured it I accidentally got 3 Blue and 1 Red instead of 2/2. So I thought I could still use Arcane Surge instead of Lifetap, but apparenty it does not give the "duration" tag anymore (Swift Affliction has no effect). With Lifetap it still works. Did anyone else have this experience? When will they finally turn off these stupid annoying Goblin sounds?
