All specters have links in gem section so you can read up.

Harpy puts a debuff that makes enemies take 40% increased physical damage. It has 100% uptime on bosses (and fat rares).

And a few words about the build.
1) I will not be updating PoB till I try build out myself. If you wanna league start it - you can use the 3.18 as there won't be any changes for a while. Follow the leveling step by step.

2) Alternatively - I WILL be updating 'current gear' with my items and PoB of my current character. You can follow that if you wish.

3) I'm 85% confident build will give you a smooth start, fast mapping and a smooth playstyle with no gear. However at some point (prolly sooner than later) it will hit a wall that needs to be fixed with specific gear.

This was always the case previously, but now pushed to extreme by nerfs to minions.

Build feels pretty meh. Especially compared to other minions builds. Every change GGG made caused most of the aspects of the build to feel outright annoying.

Solution:

Replace "Reservation Reduction" with "Reservation Efficiency". When stacked, Reservation Efficiency does not allow for infinite Auras. This can be given out much more liberally as a result


And then just outright deleted the mana reserve mastery leaving us with nothing what so ever?

The worst part about its ALMOST enough mana. I was missing like 5-25 mana at all times to feel comfortable. Just a straight up torture. Had to grab mana on hit jewel to somewhat fix it... And even that didn't help at the time.

It get more tolerable with levels, but if you just starting - be ready to suffer.


Moving on.

Remember how GGG said minions can no longer gain Cruelty? You know how Cruelty refers to the buff that gives more damage over time? You know how other gems have a line "Does not support minion skills?" , but this one just says "minions can not gain Cruelty"

Well guess what - despite saying the line above, Cruelty support gem now does not support minions. At all. You are not just unable to buff your minions to deal damage over time. Oh no. The damage from hits also gone, leaving this particular build with 0 options for a 6 link before Empower. Good job! I suppose GGG want us to just get Empower right away. Nothing too hard.

The next best thing you could get is Culling Strike/Less Duration that are only 10% damage as opposed to 30% damage boost from a link.

So there is that. The build now does EVEN less damage early on.



And now the best thing.

Remember how GGG said they gonna give us tools to recoup for damage loss from removing power charges crit boost?
How they gonna give us a way to craft items to make up for it? So summoners gear matter?

Well turns out they kinda FORGOT to put ANY stats that would interact with minion crit chance OR crit damage on the Bone ring base.

You can't get anything crit related on them. Best you can get is just increased minions damage, but its not gonna do a whole lot on its own.

We can't use Wands that do have something like 100% increased crit, because we are melee. We can't use Helm - because we use a specific unique that makes the build to begin with. The only thing we could use is a shield - giving up most of our damage reduction for a laughable 100% inc crit. That is all we can craft.


In conclusion - the build is worse early. By a lot. Its still somewhat close to the other minions builds that people currently run.
But unlike other builds it won't scale up into anything (or so I think) simply because we can't use wands or minion helmets.

I will try to push it further - see what comes out of it, but for now, its just a pure disappointment. And not because build sucks. But because GGG say one thing then does something opposite. And I am constantly reminded about that when playing it.

At this point, even if I somehow manage to make the build feel good, it won't be worth the effort spent.

Anyways tackling t11 for now. Progressing slowly.
Day two report time.

Its... not going too great, but its going.
Guardians are down. Eater and Exsarch are down.

The clear feels okay-ish. Rampage carries big time.
The single target damage is big poopoo. Bought empower 3 - didn't even notice the damage boost. Very sad.

Got to lvl 90 because build as as tanky as it was. You can face tank most of archnems with ease.

Thinking to drop it and play some other games. Might try and see if IL can fix it for me. But even with IL, there is still no good way to boost up the bossing damage.

Because it honestly feels like I'm playing a gauntlet.

Anyways hows your league experience?

So I was lucky to drop Omni on my first Exarch kill and I just sold it to outright buy all the good stuff.

And I tell you what - build sucks. Even if I get BIS items it will prolly get around 5 mill DPS at best. This is no where enough to do content right now, and it won't be enough even if GGG nerfs archnemesis.

The damage just doesn't scale. I'm currently runnig t16 jucing them up as much as I can, and feel kinda okay. But it takes a bit to kill rares and this is after I spent like 5-ish divines on upgrades. There is no reason to invest into this with that little return.

And with that I think I'm done with the league, regardless of patches.

Thanks for the updates. It is OK for me for boss rushing in standard but I'm using a 8 point 320% minion damage timeless jewel.
8 mod maps are the new alch and go.

back on my bullshit... i respeced 3 times and leveled 2 characters and in the and i came back to this build 😈
You fool. Run away! Its terrible! Also Cruelty no longer supports Holy relic. Why? Just because.
Alright, so since there is still interest to this build in this uneasy for the game times, I suppose I can make an update for a few days that I hopped in.

The build is still a meme, at least compared to what it was. It took unreasonable amount of currency to make it feel okay. Not great. Just okay. So there is that. You've been warned.

With that in mind, let the meme fest begin!



THE ROAD SO FAR



So I spent the rest of my funds for better gems. Straight up. That's in my opinion the only thing that can make the build feel better.

With current state of AN - you absolutely NEED Crush from Awakened Brutality. Every monster has physical damage reduction for no reason.

And the thing about physical damage is - the less you deal damage - the less you deal damage. I know sounds obvious, but if simplified it works like that - if your damage is low, it gets reduced to zero. If its high - it doesn't get reduced at all.

Anyway, I took some time experimenting with crits - that is dead, I could not make it work at all, even with all the external crit sources.
So that brings up to Awakened Controlled Destruction - with that sweet extra 10% damage from Unnerve.

Another buy was +2 to level of skills Amulet. A very close in power to Ashes of the Stars - but for 10% the price. Helps with keeping AG alive too.

Speaking of AG - he was not doing so great so I had to fortify him with some extra block. New (updated) Daressos Courage makes sure your AG will always have max block. Relentless fury didn't do much so I replaced it with Sign of the Sin Eater for now, just to remove ignites from myself.

Bought some Megalomaniac with mana reserve to make up for loss of Mastery. Feels good.

Experimented a bit with Summon Phantasms. Lots of people using it and on paper - it SHOULD add a lot of damage. In fact it should double your DPS granted all phantasms are up. In reality though... It doesn't feel like it does anything. The ghosts are easy to die, even with all the block and life regen. And even when they are all up... It doesn't feel like they do expected damage. Possibly because their damage is so low it gets negated. Plus I hate them for swarming my screen with lifebars. So that's a nope for me. Back to Meat Shield. That being said - great gem for leveling I suppose since Cruelty doesn't work anymore.

No changes to the tree - everything is still in tact.

With that I ended up with about 5 mill boss DPS. Its not great. Its not terrible. The clear with Asenath is nice. Even AN rares are not too hard to deal with. Bossing is very bad though. I'll try to push it further and get second cluster online. If I will be in a mood to play this AN casino game more (who am I kidding - I will, I'm addicted. Please send help.)

Few words about Inspired Learning - I start to think its not worth it. Its certainly more fun, but in grand picture of things - it takes a while to kill a rare mob, and by the time you finish killing it - they buff you got from previous one is most likely expired. Bonuses it gives also are not that great. I might cut it out from the build.
