Hello fellow cultists. Long time no see.

Lets quickly run through the stuff.

Great league, at around the end got my pc corrupted so didn’t post the updates. Gonna do it now while we getting ready for the new one.

Also panning to remove a LOT of stuff from the main page. Some items are outdated, information is confusing for those who tried the build this league.

Alright. To the notes and discoveries of the Mercenery league.

First of all – Mercenaries. Have some notes on that, but since they are going away – gonna skip them.

TL;DR – Sniper with Grace and Haste 99% of the time.

The only thing to take from that is that once Mercs are gone, Perfect Primal Thunderbird will be taking the spot of the 4th specter to get the effect of Grace aura back. This will be relevant later, and you don’t need to do this, but having 60-70% dodge on top of max block and armor does seem very nice.


System changes

Animate Guardian

Now doesn’t lose items. On top of that lot of damage to AG got nerfed. T17 are not longer as dangerous. In theory that means you can use different gear sets and experiment with AG.

On practice that means you just gonna use the same BiS set of Kingmaker + Garb without regard of losing the items.

That being said – this league I experimented with AG a bit more. Garb was something like 20 divs because of Mercs, so I was looking for alternative.
Icetomb proven to be a decent alternative for dangerous content like juices Essences, Ghosted Rogue Exiles, and Risk Abys.

Combined with Freeze proliferation and/or freeze duration – mod you can get on gloves, it was freezing those big dangerous enemies solid. Will be adding that to mid game AG item set.


Automation and chest opening

Self explanatory – pretty big quality of life to pass on. Not gonna add it anywhere, but its easily can be included into the build for comfy blight farms.

You gonna need to replace CWDT+Moltenshell for Automation+Steelskin/Moltenshell and pick up caster mastery and Arcane Sanctuary ring instead of Arcane Guarding.


Runegrafts

Those gonna stay, right? There were a few that were rather nice to include into the build. And you can easily do that by taking masteries that are blocked by Timless Jewel anyway, so the cost is only 1 point

Runegraft of the Warp – helps a lot with “deal no damage for x seconds” ultimatum and t17 mod. Also removes poisons, ignites and w/e else. Extends duration of Moltenshell, static strike and flicker strike move speed buff. Very solid.

Runegraft of the Fortress – at the end game – 4k armor, 1.5k evasion, 150 ES at cost of 1 passive point and some dex. Arguably worth but getting attribute stats can be a bit finicky.


New items and new crafting methods

Wine of the prophet – its garbage. Don’t bother with it. For fun item and its not even that fun.

Veiled chaos orb is back, and that means
New Boots

Simply roll +2 boots with chaos resist essence till triple/double res, then anul prefixes and reforge for missing resistance. After that lock suffixed and try to hit the Move speed + Onslaught. Finish with crafting life.

Here is instruction from the discord from iFuga
reforge Chaos -> T1 chaos + T2 cold -> lock suffix -> reforge fire -> T2 fire -> Lock Suffix veiled chaos -> craft mana -> Unverils move speed + Onslaught -> craft life

The result will be something like this


Doing so frees you flask slot replacing onslaught flask.



New cheaper way of crafting BIS scepter

Turns out there is an enchant coming from Heist that no one cares about
“Can have 1 additional crafted modifier”. It stacks additively with “Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers” letting you craft 4 mods.

And because its an enchant you can still modify your weapon however you want.
First you need to remove all mods and make weapon magic. Then alt spam it will +1 all skills. After that you want to imprint it for safety.

Then you want to either Synthesize for life on hit or something useful and regal+anul till you have only one prefix or prefix and a suffix.
Restore and make a new imprint if needed.

After you have +1 all skills as only prefix you can craft multimod and fill up as follows

- Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers
- Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Use a Skill, with a 8 second Cooldown, - - - Spells Triggered this way have 150% more Cost
- Hits can't be Evaded
- Minions deal % increased Damage
The result will be something like that


Getting life on hit on a weapon would make it BiS for it will enable you do 100% reduced recovery maps that disable your leech.

In a similar way there are other sources of this stat and you REALLY want to get at least some of them, the more the better

Feast of Flesh – 10 life per enemy hit on cluster jewel. You might want to consider stacking 2 of them
Watchers eye - Gain (20-30) Life per Enemy Hit while affected by Vitality with using level 1 Vitality or Vitality Specter.
Weapon

It may not seem as much but with how many hits you make it will instantly heal you to full between blocks.


Future plans
Getting ready for next league. The drawback of not having a merc will surely affect a lot of builds. Less so this one, but I will certainly miss early haste and grace.

Granted the build will survive patch notes at all.
You may have noticed that a lot of changes relate to getting around nasty mods. This is party because of the new endgame revolving around t16.5

But mostly because Im looking to set up early afk Ultimatum farm next league. That’s gonna be my league goal, as I got reintroduced and addicted to the mechanic this league.

I still might do ‘back in time’ kind of post in preparation to exactly that.
How does the new 20% cool down recovery minion mastery will affect the build? It seems too much to cover the 3% gap between 21/20 and 21/23 and too little to get rid of the Ashes... It can be used as a "band aid" solution probably, but cant come up with any meaningful way to utilize it effectively...


Okay... patchnotes.

Lets start with a moment of silence for our Bama friends.


Now. Stuff related to holy relic flicker. Very few changes a lot of uncertainty.

Breach League Uniques are no longer upgraded from Breach Blessings. Blessings now only upgrade Breachstones.

It is uncertain if Skin of the Lords, or even Skin of the Loyal can be obtained, considering we work on Chayula now. There is some hope to that - uniques showcased in league page feature both upgraded and non-upgraded variants.

We gonna need specific colors though. How rare its going to be? Will it even exist? Best substitude is C-Tabula into Dialla, but that is very much not ideal. Be advised of this change if you plan to start this build.

Minion attacks now inherintly hit
Nice minor change - AG can now consistently execute enemies with Cull gloves.

The Gravepact Passive Tree cluster now grants Chaos Resistance instead of Minion Accuracy.
Won't say no for extra chaos res, much needed early game.

Volcanic Fissure of Snaking: No longer has 50% more Area of Effect. Fissures will not automatically target enemies hit by the Explosion of the previous Fissure in the Chain.
Its not clear how exactly it will behave in maps and if maximum triger rate was tied to this. From what I understand it should still be good for us to use, but we gonna have to see.

Volatile Cores and Drowning orbs nerfs
Pretty nice. If you can block them now - its a free mod. Drowning orbs no longer drown you faster with debuff faster runegraft.

Specters now revive
This build was tailored around making specters never die to begin with. This change lets you to maybe grab a very common specter - Pain Artist early on. It has no HP, but can stick around for a sizable damage boost.
The other thing we could do is to drop some defences. Mainly - free a gem slot - either from meat shield or minion life. Gonna have to test that.

The Glorious Madness buff from the Beacon of Madness Unique Boots Embrace Madness Skill now inflicts a random Touched Debuff every 2 seconds (previously every 1 second).
I already been looking to include these boots into the build. This change might just make it happen.

Minions have 20% cooldown recovery rate mastery.

Now thats an interesting topic.
On one hand - we don't need it - because you cant really activate relics that fast.
On other hand - for the early to mid game progression this is absolutely busted.

This means - you don't need to farm lab for HRoC gem if you don't want to.
You don't need to save for Ashes - you can just roll with +1 all skills and it will be as powerful as having ashes.
When (and if) you do decide to get Ashes - you can just ignore its roll entirely and get the cheapest one.
This will put you to the maximum trigger rate from getgo.
And at the very end game you can just refund it I guess.

Another massive benefit for this mastery - is that it lets you deal with Temporal bubble from the very start. If you know - you know.

Bloodlines Ascendacy
Interestingly enough - you could easily free up 4 Ascendacy points from this build with the use of FF jewels. If you get a FF set with Bone Barrier you can drop Mindless Agression and travel nodes. This will result of 10% DPS loss and a loss of Bastion of Elements.
We don't know yet what other Bloodlines, but we can easily fit them in.




So there is that.
Very few changes. Build would feel even smoother early game with new mastery.
And will feel terrible if there is no way to get the skin.

I've been running few tests in current league to get ready for league start.
This time my goal is to set up Ultimatum farm - the only farm that evaded all nerfs and start to print divines.
