ASDW movement option or fail

point and click movement is hopeless outdated and both d3 and tl2 will suffer heavily under the idiocy of refusing to give us support for asdw movement.

refusing asdw movement in a new title like this would be a instant fail and would kill the success of the game.

on the other hand supporting this (and click to move for those nubs that absolutely want this) would make tons of players play it since its the only game of its type to support this (besides bloodline champion which doesnt have any pve elements which we would like, and realmofthemadgod which have some VERY bad graphics and too little in the gameplay department to be interesting for long.)

just my thought ASDW and i would personally support it with what i can afford at this point, no asdw and i wouldn't even download it to try it.

Chris confirmed several times that there won't be WASD movement in PoE.

He is explaining why here at about 37:40.

There are reasons why not to use WASD controls. How exactly is mouse control more outdated than WASD?

If you won't play a game because it doesn't have the controls used in a totally different genre of games, then you are a silly person.

Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet?
mouse control is a staple of aRPGs, and it works, not reason to change it now

WASD controls would never work in an isometric ARPG. Mouse-controlled moving is precise, can be used to string more than one action at a time together, and isn't broken so does not need to be fixed.

However, if you really refuse to play this game because of no WASD, then all the better. We don't more free-loading douchebags in the game.
Strange enough, I got into a argument of sorts, over which movement method is better in general recently.

Neither one is better than the other, they both fit the type of rpgs they're used in. typical arpgs demand the mouse, since WADS would just be frustrating due to the isometric point of view.

However, WADS is more useful when you need to pull of combos, or dodging is the whole point in the game. Mostly MMOs use WADS, and PoE is no MMO.

The only support for this argument is if you're using a laptop, but even then you should have an extra mouse, and also why are you playing this on a laptop to begin with?

Either way, saying the game not using WADS is a fail... no. Go away.

I use a laptop cause I like to play in my bed.

Problem? (Also I use a mouse)

^^ This.

This is an isometric camera view game, reason why its click to move, the camera is A. Centered and fixed on the character, This game is based off D2, etc. Hell D3 isn't even stooping that low to offer ASDW movement.

So I concur, Your (Bad Grammar) won't be missed.
