" Yea I am level 100 with this char that I complain about the elemental overload stuff (hyena_giggle) so there is no contradiction here. So tell me what Accuracy number you suggest me to get in order to fix that problem for red maps endgame stuff? Dernière édition par The_Human_Tornado#7752, le 20 déc. 2018 à 18:36:41

" Absolutely NOT! Whatever % Accuracy it shows you have is base you your current level and NOT level 100... If you only say have 85% Accuracy at level 85 then by level 90 with no other accuracy upgrades thats gonna drop to 79% or even lower... Anything over 4K as far as a number normally is enough just depends on the skill and other factors. If your level 100 you probably wont even show 90% accuracy with good accuracy for the content. At the same time thats why if you have around 93-95% Accuracy at level 90% it will feel good. Because like you said there isnt level 100 mobs theres not even level 90 mobs. Not sure what Accuracy has to do with Multistrike.. If multistrike feels like shit it has nothing to do with Accuracy thats a problem with no where near enough Attack Speed. You want to build for massive super fast hitting with Multistike then you need to Attack Speed to start with to do so.. Once you have proper Attack Speed that animation lock is almost non existent. Thats why Attack Speed is so powerful and why its so important. If MS support is locking you down that hard then you probably should consider using something else.. till you have proper APS for MS. " There is a missunderstanding here. My level 100 character that I was talking about who had enormous problems with keeping elemental overload up on many occassions has a 85%ish chance to hit according to the character window, so nothing I said was wrong. I was talking about this specific char and that was also the char that has the like 10% crit chance thanks to brightbeak, loreweave and a diamond critchance but still cant keep up Elemental Overload consistently. Multistrike is a problem here because of its mechanic of packing of not rolling the crit chance on every individual hit but only once per 3 hits so getting that 1 crit to keep up elemental overload all the time becomes much harder than without multistrike. It was argued that this is because of my low accuracy rating and that I should rather improve the accuracy then further investing in crit chance to solve it. I have doubts about that cause my accuracy was bearable enough to do the 100 grind and it felt pretty good so but OK I am open to any suggestion. I want to hear the number of accuracy points that would solve that. Dernière édition par The_Human_Tornado#7752, le 20 déc. 2018 à 19:44:59

" Well i mean if it was me? OOS+Crit.. Simple 2L. make it a 3L for better coverage if you for some reason have any downtime. If you want more utility out of it make it a 4L COH setup.. OOS+Crit+COH+Curse. This will pretty much give you 100% up time on EO. Always works for me. I would say automate it if your lazy on CODT but then i also wouldn't expect 100% up time since you'll have to take damage to get your buff then. I dont mind more buttons especially if it means i have more control. I like ED builds so yeah... having to press more than 2 or 3 buttons isnt an issue for me like some. " Having to press more than 2 or 3 button brings a player one step closer to the mental hospital on the 100 grind and 2 gem slots are quite investment ... I remember watching that Dismantle youtube video where he played his explosive arrow marauder and said "EO is great you get 40% more damage ALL THE TIME without any investment". Well yea if a player is playing with bows then he gets it, with melee rather not all the time because of multistrike and multistrike only. And that is only a side problem, that, not many people have as it was said in this thread and that gets fixed by me just going RT, its not a that big deal to be honest, I have blown this up too much in my threadstarting post due to my own discomfort with it, its really nothing worth to be in the center of the discussion. But the core question is still why the spellcasters auto targeting gem gives above average more dps instead of subpar values that multistrike gives and all that with less disruptive mechanics and a non pidgeonhold quality bonus. Aren't the spell casters and attacks support gems are supposed to deliver similar numbers and mechanics, there a lot of skillgems like Elemental focus, conc effect etc that deliver exactly the same values for both? Why not here? the comparison of multistrike with spell echo is not even close. Dernière édition par The_Human_Tornado#7752, le 20 déc. 2018 à 20:35:14

Spell echo has these big numbers to make self-casting at least a little bit competitive, compared to totems, traps and mines (a race that self-casting cannot win because they handed out too much to the others).
Yes, multistrike could definitely be upgraded. It is somewhat required as a band-aid to the horrible targeting system in this game, but the interaction with ruthless and/or crit is really annoying. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

Well I think you should have no problem keeping Ele overload up even with multitrike, probably either your crit chance, attack speed or accuracy is too low or a combination of all of them.
I'm doing a staff coc slam (and stacking a lot of attack speed) I get 7 attack per seconds easily |

Alright in my grinding trance I remember how they justified its bad numbers and triple attack handicap: Back in the good old times melee had lots of mana problems and multistrike solved them. But those times were over after they made melee gems havubg capped mana costs for all levels so there is nothing to justify its bad numbers anymore.
So yea I really wish that that Multistrike would give at least a 50% more multiplier dps like spell echo does there is no reason for it to not do that other than outdated stuff. I mean come on guys most melee builds rely on this gem it really should be adjusted asap. 1.5/1.36 = 10% ~ More dps, every multistrike melee build would have 10% more dps right now if Multistrike numbers wouldnt be based on outdated crap ...
