blade vortex is a spell, doesn't get bonuses from attack or melee nodes. You would lose too much damage just to make it work.

What about new mortal conviction + hatred?

with starforge you can do only physical damage, hatred useless

but can use
Precision: Casts an aura that reserves a portion of your mana, and grants you and nearby allies accuracy and increased critical strike chance.

or

Flesh and Stone: Casts an aura that reserves a portion of your mana, causes nearby enemies to be Maimed while in Blood Stance, and causes those enemies to take increased physical damage. While in Sand Stance, this aura causes nearby enemies to be Blinded, and causes enemies not affected by the aura to deal less damage to you.

I want to keep this a pure cyclone build. You could do that but you'd need gem info to test if its actually a dps increase or not with no spell scaling and a 4L cyclone vs a 6L one. I doubt it.

Also it would only matter with single target, based on the cyclone range that was shown, regular mobs will die before they even hit hit by the BV (smaller aoe).

Don't think its a good idea, even if you use disfavour. The new auras Blood and Sand, Pride + Banner and HoP will be much better for damage. They're making sure pure phys is good enough to compete. Hatred isn't an automatic choice anymore.

Also with BM + Mortal conviction you can only run one 50% aura and MAYBE one 10% reservation, you miss out on another aura you could otherwise run. I don't think its a good idea.

It's good for a crit build. I plugged your tree into my pob and it's about 37% more damage with diamond flask, bit less life. I'm not sure if giving up slayer leech is worth it. Maybe with more accuracy and crit (from precision instead of haste) if the dps gets even higher, it might be worth trading leech and ehp for damage.

Heya Fatfat, awesome guide, used it a couple of times for fun. But seeing the new changes I'm thinking of going straight for this build as my starter.

How do you reckon it will be as a budget build? I mean cyclone is kinda the new meta so starforge will be expensive as hell. Would you recommend this as a league starter or come back for it later in the patch?
