How to build around "Infractem"

Hi,

After I long leave I play PoE again. I find that I need to reallocate my Skill Points and those Uniques I farmed in the past including "Infractem" still there, the piercing function is attractive so I am thinking a build base on that bow but screwing up how to survive without Life Leech ^^. Is it viable if I just stack Evasion, Life and Life Regeneration? Or any good idea to keep survival without Life Leech? Any tips?

Do you really need to build around infractem? There are plenty of cheap and better bows but it´s up to you.

Besides regen you could build energy shield based build and rely on fast ES recharge.

Thiefs Torment ring plus high attack speed and a bow skill with loads of projectiles for plenty hits like Tornado shot.

BTW, does Jewel good? Scion seem to be easier to get socket.

What do you mean by this?

Having good jewels that fit your build is a good thing Scion or not.

Sorry, English is not my mother language, so I can't explain well ^^. I just want to know does Jewel good to include in a build, if yes, Scion seem to be easier to include socket in a build at early state, and I may use Scion in my new build.

I wouldn't do a build based on the most sockets available, you should look at the whole tree. You may have more jewel sockets but not enough life, dps, etc.

A good jewel is a nice boost for a build, jewel sockets are never a bad thing to have. A good jewel is also, however, usually quite expensive.

If you don't know the game well yet and are still learning how to build strong characters, I recommend not focusing on trying to get a lot of jewel sockets. Take any you can get on your way with a point or two, but don't design trees with the intent of scoring more jewels. Take them as a nice bonus and nothing more.

Choose the class and ascendancy according to skill you want to play not jewels (unless you want to play build with lots of jewels).

You maybe put one or two jewels early on unless you have some super cool jewels in your stash.

Infractem is just a leveling bow. It wouldn’t be a good idea to build around it even if it didn’t have the downside. You can find or craft a better rare easily and lioneye’s glare is super common and totally outclasses it.
