It's just that most players have no concept of the insane amount of optimization and farming potential in the game. Or have no desire to do it, because it feels like a second job. Scratch that, it's much more demanding than my job if you try to do it properly. Less salt and more playing the game the way you find it enjoyable, buddy. If you want to get rich and find that fun, look at players like Fyndel, Dosh and the top streamers and what they are doing. Grimro has a lot of farm-related videos. Or have a look at BakedChicken, the farmbot. It's not nuclear physics. I'm not talking about market manipulation and flipping either. Just pure farm. It's hard work, though. Are there some players in the mythical 1% (it's more like 0,001% actually) who are there because of insane luck? Certainly. However, if you know how to optimize your behavior in the game, getting way up there is simply a matter of time, and not much time at that. Looking at it like that, there's zero luck involved. Once again, I'm not talking about the players who play the market like a stock exchange simulator, although that's another viable and no-luck-involved method. I'm not including it simply because I find it dreadfully boring and a lot of players frown on that (needlessly). You have to be realistic about these things. All i need is a MF build and a ton of time to play but for some people who play the game 2-3 hours a day like me I still enjoy and play the game but sometime i feel RNG in this game is ... a bit too much ! You have unrealistic expectations then. Every league has at least a few budget-friendly builds which can pretty much handle all content in the game on a ~1ex budget. Also, even if you play 2-3 hours a day, with some time and patience you'll make a decent buck. I work full time and don't like the farmbot playstyle so I clear maps in a much more leisurely fashion, finished this league yesterday with ~50ex net worth and two fully geared, well-working characters. Define your goals, make sure they are realistic, take your available playtime into consideration and do your own thing. Comparing yourself to others is a recipe for unsatisfaction.
