Why doesn't Path of Exile have some form of auto trade?
" You asked why, and that's why. You can disagree with it, but the 'why' of the issue is answered. Beyond that you are just crapping out another meaningless whining thread and trying to hide that fact behind the 'why' question. |

" not totally dissimilar to now but making trade even easier would exasperate the issue I dont see any any key!

Because ( and this is REALLY fucking simple) GGG do not want any automated trade in the game, never have, still don't and never will.

Because they are religious about their trade must be "hard" mantra.

" Are you sure you understand what would happen if it was made easier? Because I don't think you do based on this type of response. Trade in this game needs to be kept somewhat tedious to avoid inflation. It's a very simple economic concept. They solve a technical problem with a human solution: Utilization of laziness Without it there would be no real profits to be made in trading, only very marginal gains in selling. Like alchs per exchange rather than chaos. If everyone would clean their own house or it was time effective for them to do so, there would be no maids. Apply this same idea to accountants and you got PoE current trade. Everyone with a high school diploma should be able to do basic accounting. Yet most people hire someone else. This keeps the marketplace for accountants alive. |

Making trading instant would make the game about sniping items in the market and not actual playing, that's why it is as it is. In this matter i agree with GGG. However their website still quite cancerous and not worth using even with the absolute necessary feature of ignoring scammers price fixers etc.

Omg this thread again thats twice this week. GGGs in game economy would die with any kind of easy function trade that kept items up for sale when you log off. Also they only have two forms of monetization MTX , and stash tabs and if you didnt need perm stash tabs for trading they would lose a lot of money which would suck for all of us .
Also crazy as it may sound many of us enjoy this games economy and structure for trading , its more personal , it reminds me of old school games like D2 , and trading in east commons tunnel, or north freeport in everquest before auction houses or bazaars( what EQ got ) were a thing. Anyhow ive already wasted so much time here a simple forum search would have yielded the same answers and you would see this has been the case since launch , when by the way trading was much more difficult as you had to go to trade chat or make your own forum shop and reply to forum messages and then set a time to meet , by that standard today's trading is a breeze . |
