Nice build bro LOL you get surrounded? HAHAHAHAHA NICE BUILD I bet you can't even do final crucible in the hardest difficulty.

DAIL is not compatible with Crucible DLC .

Guess I'll never know. :)

Perception is reality.
You know you can build your character to be strong enough to one shot most of the monsters anyway right.

You can always run harder maps if you feel like things are dying too fast.
But that wasn't really my point.
Perception is reality.
We would get surrounded buts its more of a 1shot kill whole screen so never really happens, and also if it were to happen then due oneshot balancing we would probably just die like nothing.

I think I isolated one major cause why player power is so absurd right now.

We don't ever get surrounded.

In Grim Dawn I get constantly swarmed.

A gate locks behind me and there's no way to go or I approach a big enemy and 30 minions spawn in my back.

After playing PoE for the past months I almost forgot how dynamic the player-monster-interaction actually usually is.

All there seems to be in PoE right now is move, kill, move, kill.

At no point do I have to reposition, adapt to a new situation or anything.

Also, in GD you dont oneshot enemies screen away, and dont move at supersonic speed. That's the main difference. Even if you make some enemies spawn behind player in PoE, they'll be just insta-killed by most builds anyway, or just left behind due to insane player's speed.

If i were to suggest some good idea from Grim Dawn, i'd suggested looking at Crucible. In Crucible, you fight enemies in arena, but they dont drop loot on ground. Instead, their loot is stored in several bounty chests, that will be available for looting after you complete it. And only best loot does so, while junk simply dissapears.
Just imagine, how great would it be for PoE's clearspeed meta!

There is no knowledge
That is not power

Let's face it though you use multiples skills in GD, unlike POE lol.

Well you don't have to, you are more then capable of beating Grim Dawn with 1 active skill.

Unless you're bad at the game of course.

there is no difference whether or not you get surrounded if you can one-shot white, blue, rare packs or even map bosses

the player power in poe is at an absurd level, where at some very achievable point mob mechanics, density or type are negligible. player-monster interaction ? its bng. blow and go.

that point used to be extremely high or even nonexisting in open beta. now ? its at all-time low.

I mean, when a D2 speedrunner tells you to slow the game down and make monster interaction meaningful, you know you done fucked up with the power creep.
