One shots!!! Could GGG balance the game!!!
I think the problem is critical strike chance on monsters. Just increase the overall damage by 20% or whatever, but remove criticals.
Makes game still challenging but removes a lot of rng. My build guides:

" 20%??? I guess you've never reached the highest tiers .... This would be wayy too much SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" Yeah actually if I'm not mistaken mobs only deal 20% additional damage on a crit right now, but I'm not entirely sure. But crits are rather harmless unless you have mods improving them. |

It depends on the mob. Colossal Bonestalkers or Massive Vaal Guardians or whatever are managable, but their crits are absolutely huge. And that's discounting boss damage.

Oneshots aren't going anywhere.
Apart from giving GGG a cheap way out of having to do proper balancing, they also make for a very effective Skinner box. If playing the game is the high, then oneshots are the crash that will instantly make you itch for your next hit. The whole "logging out is a skill" thing is just the PR excuse. |

Don't expect any "balancing" by ggg. They have proven themselves incapable of understanding their own game, leave alone balancing it.
2.4. Community: life is shit, oneshots are the only true threat, and enemies "aggresively dying on you", due to clear-speed meta. that's why most people who want to reach high levels (95+) ultimately go ci. 2.5. ggg introduces map mods, that specifically target mitigation used by life, block, armor, evasion dodge. new endgame boss chayula almost trivial as ci compared to life. 2.5. Community: wtf, give us more life. everyone is using ci. 2.6. ggg slams life on unused uniques, but buffs enemy damage. howa ci unchanged, king of the forest partially nerfed. "life is technically better than es". |

Hey guize , the game is in permanent beta stage . You need to learn to deal with it .

"I've done all guardians in breach deathless as a melee with 7k es. It's not too much, it's on average and I would exclude bosses. Currently it's 5% chance to deal 130% more damage. So you can get hit for 3k damage or 6.9k... That's a massive difference. Currently it's like a stroll through the park until 1-2 monsters insta gib you with criticals. That's just stupid and frustrating. If all monsters deal more damage but without crits, at least you know what to expect every time you get hit by a mob. " No it's not. Monsters have a 130% crit multiplier, which means that they do 30% more damage on crit, unless they are "deadly" of course. 3k -> 3.9k, before mitigation of course.
