You need to tell people you are SSF because it biases your view of the game in a way that the community doesn't expect. When I give advice, or comment on an opinion, I'll often drop that I'm strictly SSF so that others might better understand the basis for my position.

Casually casual.

Hmmmm, I've been playing SSF in standard for, what, 4 years? Why do I need a character tag to tell me that?
You don't.

Why do I need to tell anyone else? Who am I competing with?
I don't know, but you told us about it? You don't need to compete with anyone.
The new SSF modes are optional. I'm not even sure what your argument is.
That is my point. You don't need a tag, you just play the way you want. Is there even competition in Standard at all?

I'll also do this if it's relevant.

I see it in a similar light to those that just can't seem to live without announcing to everyone that they are gluten free. I mean, do whatever you want, but unless I'm offering you a muffin or something I don't really wanna hear about it.

If this was a forum about food, cooking, sharing recipes, talking about the benefits or not of different foods, choice of ingredients, brands, vending outlets, etc. One would make the point known if they were on a gluten free diet.
Casually casual.
