I just cannot get rid of my stuttering issues.

I have the same issue with this game since the closed beta (!) and I just can not fix this.

I am talking about the sudden fps drops in big fights,or when fighting certain enemies (pretty much any boss in the game causes stutters for me)

Here is an example:

It frustrates me so much, because I really want to play the shit out of this game, but I always end up quiting the game because of those annoying fps spikes.

Here is some things I tried so far:

-Upgrading gpu (once from hd5770 to a r9 270 and now to a gtx 1060)
-upgrading cpu (from i5 4460 to i7 4790)
-updating driver
-switching to fullscreen/windowed fullscreen/windowed
- added --noasync and --waitforpreload
-tried out predictive/lockstep mode
-vsync on/off
-played without sound
-reinstalled windows
-installed game on ssd/hdd
-tried out multithreading on/off
-set prerendered frames to 2 in nvidia control

None of those things really helped and I am unsure if there is anything more I can do.

If you have anything in mind that might help, please let me know.

Some have found it helpful to delete the contents of their minimap and shadercache folder.

You can try defragging your ggpk file.

See other threads on how to do these.

Let us know if this fixes your issue.
System specs: AMD Ryzen 3600, RTX 2060 Super
is your gpu/cpu underclocking itself ? your dps seems low compared to your specs. On my 3570k and 970 after enabling vsync and capping fps at 120 it is smooth sailing

It helped maybe a little, but did not fix it. For example I still get about 3 seconds of constant stutter when I enter a boss room.

@champ3n I honestly couldnt tell you. I dont know much about pc hardware stuff. But the framerate itself isnt an issue, more the fact that it drops to almost 0 everytime something new happens on screen. I always cap my fps,but when i dont do that I get around 60-300fps depending on which situation.
bump.
set your screen to 60hz
put on vsync
enjoy

all nvidia settings to > application settings, nothing custom.
deactivate down/rescaling

Sorry to sound like an asshole, but dont you think that in 3years of having this issue I never came up with the idea to put on vsync? What do you mean by deactivate downscaling?

Just to confirm, you have a i7 and a 1060GTX with a solid state harddrive?

If so, it does sound like a transferring problem with your harddrive. Ensure you have your motherboard chipset drivers installed, and run diagnostics on your solid state harddrive.

Alternatively, if you can, If you have the ram to spare, you can create a ram drive, and put poe on it. Then run off of that, and see if you still have issues.

Ensure that when you are installing video card drivers, that you are not installing geforce experience. uncheck it when you install. If you didn't do this, then run "display driver uninstaller" to completely wipe all traces of possible old drivers. Then install the most latest without the geforce experience.

nvidia has such an option, was marked active everytime i updated my drivers. just saying.

also your ss showed 8x FPS max, so you are not running vsync on 60hz, in other words your system cant handle vsynch on your current settings on a stable framerate

Yes.The game itself is installed on the ssd.

Im not sure about the chipset driver. Its for the motherboard right? I have an asrock h97 pro4 and when I look on their website I can find all sorts of driver, not sure which one I need though :

I do not have geforce experience installed since I heard it causes performance issue in a lot of games.
