Resists - How much do you want/need to be overcapped?
TLDR imo this game is deadly not being overly capp'ed playing casually on a glass cannon char and far more trivial if you use a tanky (armour or eva) high hp/res. char. It's player choice bla bla bla but 135% res is bare minimum, 165%'ish resistance is a nice soft cap, and 210%'ish resistance would be the excessive hardcap.
One needs to expect the unexpected always such as enemies that can curse you with elemental res. reduction (especially deadly in a ele weak map). Sure you can run a utility flask that removes curses but isn't that wasteful too some of the time? Plus it forces one to react apposed to passively always there. Furthermore being massively res. capped can save flask charges for other curses/situations that arise. with that said, a single perfectly rolled two-stone ring can have like 167% resistance. doing a poe.trade search for rings greater than 100 res, perandus, 1 chaos or less had 49 results pop up. many either had space for hp/energy shield or already had it (low rolled). I haven't done it too often (admittedly), but pushing high lvl maps I pray for elemental weakness as one of the 6 to 8 rolls. It's free loot if you're ready for it. " As far as I know (Which I may be wrong about, I'm not exactly a font of wisdom), because of the way conversion works the cold-to-fire works out at a lot of damage and also allows you to double dip from those nodes/clusters that focus on both Cold/Fire or straight up Elemental Damage. I.e 10% Elemental Damage boosts Cold damage by 10%, which is converted after that to Fire, which is also boosted by 10%. I'm currently trying out Cold Penetration instead of Hypothermia, since I plan to go up against Atziri at some point (Though Hypothermia is the superior choice against anything that can be chilled, since it boosts all the damage not just cold). Edit: Though I just realised that Elemental Focus would probably be way better than Cold Pen for Status Immune enemies... Forgot it exists since I love Status Effects... Bleh, now I gotta get a hold of one. Are there many other bosses that are status immune? I can't find a list anywhere, and EF is too expensive to straight up buy so it'll be a while before I can level one up to use... If there's not many, then Cold Pen will do me fine for a fair while, if there is I might consider spending a bit. Dernière édition par Zephryl#5929, le 15 mai 2016 à 01:11:22
