Whirling Blades not working

So I'm getting really annoyed that when im casting Spectral Throw and i try to use Whirling Blades to move away quickly like 30-40% of the time the game just completely IGNORES the WB command.

I understand that what's likely happening is that the game wont allow you to input 2 attacks at the same time (when i hit WB the EXACT same time that ST is casting) but how the fuck am I supposed to reliably get out of danger? In most cases this isnt a huge issue - but theres sometimes like fighting Atziri for instance where you get like .05 seconds to get out of the way of her flameblasts and if the game ignores my WB command once - im dead.

Its REALLY frustrating that the game just wont CONSISTENTLY recognize the inputs Im giving it.

I agree. It's a issue that's been around since day one. My current "main" uses Whirling Blades for Fortify and to get out of bad and it's....sketchy to say the least.

This game is still "clunky". This contributes to the clunkyness.

well yeah, you're limited by your attack speed, what's the deal about it ?

What do you want here?

If you could spam attacks without worrying about attack speed, PoE would just basically become clicker heroes.

Or do you want it to 'remember' what skill you pressed, and then implement that once it is able to?

Linked with faster attacks you can spam it. That's not the issue. The game ignoring your key press going from pressing a key for some other skill, to Whirling Blades key is. Some times...nothing happens.

Like the OP said, this is probably because you are still attacking with Spectral throw. You can't do two attacks at the same time.

Like the OP said, this is probably because you are still attacking with Spectral throw. You can't do two attacks at the same time.

Right....I'm not saying I don't understand that. But it is pretty clunky and can be annoying.

Hold down the button for whirling blades. You will use it as soon as your character finishes attacking with spectral throw.

The game is ignoring your commands because you're not finished with the skill you're using. Get more attack speed if you don't like where you are.

Put faster attacks on wb

Can you even imagine how many things would break in the game if you could do two attacks at the same time?
