Enduring cry makes me hate playing a melee
Charge duration needs to scale with number of charges. It's practically trivial for someone with 3 charges to cap out, but someone with 7 charges is going to have a harder time hitting that max. They work the same way mana would work if mana regen didn't scale with max mana.

U are doing it wrong, Im at lvl 67 merciless, have no passives in endurance charges and Im doing just fine. Resists are maxed, and I use endurance cry only when there is huge mob pack to let me tank better. Other than that, single white mobs should die in ~2 hits or u are doing it wrong, upgrade your gear.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the way enduring cry works. It's definitely not the reason melee is broken. The fact that you can get more than one charge per cry, and the higher the skill levels the less mobs you need to obtain more charges, make me think enduring cry is in the perfect spot.
It would be OP and used by everyone if it lasted 30 seconds. It's a 5% flat reduction of physical damage per charge, of course it's going to take some work to maintain. I say it's fine as is, but that's just my opinion. ign - JoeyTrader

IMO a better drop off method would be to have charges drop off one at a time every 7 secs or so. That way the more you have the longer you can run before a significant number fall off and it makes getting extra endurance charges over the standard 3 that much better.

The interesting thing is that people are trying to get flat %phys damage reduction over the mitigation system that armor provides.
Then the question is not, is the duration of end charges to low. The question would be if people are seeking a flat %phys damage reduction that bad, isn´t the phys damage mitigation calculation itself just a annoying design idea? What can never be lent or earned? Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything: A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones. Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. The problem at the moment isn't with Enduring Cry as such, it's the lack of options in sustaining charges (something that is equally true of Frenzy and Power charges, just that keeping them up isn't so important). This will change as more skills are released that generate (and spend) charges.
