Discussion on Blasphemy (New Support Gem)
Hello guys,
I was looking at the new gems for the Talisman Leagues and Blasphemy really stood out to me as a gem I REALLY want to test out. So many ideas and queries are running through my mind I was hoping somebody might be able to help me out. Firstly could you have a look at this RF build, the build itself is unimportant, what I want to turn your attention to are the two clusters towards the top/top-left (Whispers of Doom & Sovereignty). Are BOTH of these clusters going to have an effect on Blasphemy-supported curses? The gem says it turns supported curses into auras with a base 25% mana reserve override. Which leads me to believe that only Aura related passives are going to effect them from now on, such as the radius, aura effect & mana reservation nodes around Sovereignty. Does this also mean the two 'curse effect' nodes around Whispers of Doom are in theory "wasted" passive points? On a more general note, I am liking the idea of two curse gems linked to blasphemy and enlighten (assuming enlighten will effect the reservation mana) or one curse gem + one aura or whatever combinations you want to do. The build above is very similar to Niffler's RF build, but with curses hopefully being applied via auras, Curse on Hit is no longer needed for the Cyclone 6-link which was used for curses and EE, meaning I can link other support skills such as Blood Magic - LoH - Increased AoE - Added Cold/Lightning dmg (meaning I don't need any bonus damage on jewellery/gear - in turn freeing up a suffix) Let me know your thoughts and ideas regarding Blasphemy And also if anybody can shed some light on any questions in my post, any input is greatly appreciated. Curses with a Blasphemy Support are still Curses and thus are affected by Curse Effect.
Aura Effect will be changed to only apply to 'friendly' Auras; Blasphemy will be unaffected. Enlighten is a plain old Mana Multiplier, so of course it applies :) Reduced Reservation from the Aura clusters will also apply, just like it does for Heralds and Arctic Armour. | |

" We don't know the specifics yet... it could very well be. Seems like a good enough counter. Add temp chains and something that gives you more curses like and you're pretty good to go. |

With Blasphemy, Punishment will finally become a good curse.

You'd still run into areas where it cannot do the thing though, because it still relies on you being hit by Melee Attacks ("hi I have a bow"-type jerks). It'll help, sure, but I'm not sold on "good".

Enfeeble and I'm gonna take Arrow dancing on tree. I just wonder what to do with "monsters are immune to curses" mod.
