Is a new standard league viable?

All I see in this thread are a bunch of whiners who fell behind on Standard and want a new permanent league so that they can have a shot at being in the lead.

You guys don't actually hate the pyramid economy in Standard. You just hate that you're not the ones on top. Jealousy is a powerful emotion.

All I see in this thread are a bunch of no-life fanboys who accumulated tons of Legacy/currency either through rmt or by wasting considerable chunks of their life slouching in front of a computer screen and hence throw a hissy fit every time a new standard league is suggested.

If GGG continues to cater to such players (like expecting players to accumulate 1500 fuse to get a 6Link, seriously WTF?!!!) they will lose so many potential players and will keep hemorrhaging players. Just look at steam chart... POE has a seriously problem in retaining players which is not surprising.

Solution is: Keep standard as is. Let the fanboys wallow in their digital make-belief treasures but provide an alternative to Standard League that people who have a life, job, kids, and sense not to sit 24/7 in-front of a computer screen can actually enjoy with a reasonable amount of invested time.

Me having legacy items affects you in no way. There are people who killed Atziri 4 days into the 1MO league. They don't have legacies over there. That's all the proof I need to justify the fact that the current versions of items are more than fairly balanced. You don't need legacy items. The only reason why you're complaining is because you're jelly as fuck.

Also, it's funny how you categorize people with legacy items as those who have no life. I simply collected uniques before they turned legacy, and now I'm rolling in dough. Umad? That didn't require any extra effort on my part. It only required the smarts to understand what items were OP and what were not. I'm sorry that you weren't able to collect the items before they turned legacy. So the only reason why you want a new Standard league is so that you can be the "early bird", as it's clearly apparent you're sour as fuck for missing the boat.
