That doesn't mean that MF isn't over powered and build limiting. I can spam high level maps and find a few rares per map or I can magic find and find 30+ rares a map. Damn...this thread derailed once we got to page 2.
I thought we had plenty of "mf is bad let's remove it from game" threads. This should be merged with another one at this point. Some of us enjoy the slot machine aspect, including those times must watch in horror as the exalted orb that drops is shaded and not available to you. What we really need to do is remove loot options and put them back to how they were - short allocation only. That seems more exiley. Then you could have had a chance to snag that Moljnir yourself. ign defnob

" in 2 months i found shavronne, soul taker, auxium, other uniques worth a total of 100 exalted, and rares worth 50-70 exalted, about 15 exalted orbs and not counting alt--> fusing iiq/iir it's super effective, with my 150/240 in a full party rare mobs drop always 4-5rares, sometimes even 8-9, and sometimes i see only 1 magic item dropped by a rare killed with 0/0. it's how you play it that makes the difference i clear lvl 73-75 maps 8-9minutes selling 3 invetory of rares every map ( i pic up only items with 4 slots or 1h weapons ) if you play an mf char just culling in full parties, then you won't enjoy it and won't see the difference than kill everything with high iiq/iir if you guys don't like mf, just dont play it, i enjoy it, at least it makes the game a bit more difficult than clearing a 78map in 3minutes Dernière édition par InAshesTheyShallReap#0055, le 13 juin 2014 à 02:57:22

" As they say, the best way to get rich in PoE is flipping rocks. Shower thought: no two rares are the same. So rares are unique, while uniques are not. On the other hand, uniques are rare, while rares are not.

I really hope they remove or limit IIR&IIQ. I usually only play PoE to get rich so I spend most of my end-game farming Dominus. I get obsessed with making as much money as I can. I've never even done a Lv70 map and I've been playing PoE since open beta.

I love MF, IIR, IIQ.
Nobody is forcing you to build with MF and farm. That's your decision on your playstyle. Anyone is perfectly capable of playing through self-found with offensive/defensive gear only. If you want the best gear, you have to either MF or trade for it. That's just one more decision you get to make in this game. The whole arpg genre is based on farming. I don't understand why anyone feels MF is necessary or complains about it. edit: In fact, if you want to remove IIR / IIQ that would make the game more of a grind imo. Totally random drops? GG RNG God. Atleast we have the ability to influence our drops in a positive way. Take that away and people will really start hating their loot drops / luck / rng. " With a horrible imbalance between ranged and melee, building a MF character for melee costs dozens more currency and ends up still having a lower survivability. Yes, it's my decision to play melee and that's my playstyle, and why am I "punished" for it? How can that be fine? MF limits build variability by a lot. If I want to have a lot more drops and move away from the <100% IIR where drop rates are not worth mentioning at all, I have to stop playing what I like and play what's put in front of me, just for the very primary thing in ARPG's, the loot. Or I can just decide not to level up when I'm "MF-ing", which is a joke. Totally random drops are here sir and you're not influencing your drops other than having more of them, people already hate their loot drops/luck/RNG. |
