really, what's the point of chaos anyway ?
" more like to f-up everything that is not hp or ES (with shavrone or ci) stacking. bypasing is a flawed concept becouse it force people to stack the only defensive mechanism that works, in POE case HP or ES. i am from the idea that "a" is strong vs "b" but weak vs "c" not "a" ignores "b" but not "c". this means that all defensive mechanism (hp,ES,armor,eva) should work vs everything but at a reduced effect like: es: receives more dmg from chaos type but lower from physical armor/eva: affects elemental dmg just like if it where physical but with a 70% efficiency affects chaos dmg just like if it where physical but with a 50% efficiency by reduced efficiency i mean that armor will reduce elemental and chaos dmg like if it where physical but if the char has 10k armor, against chaos it will be considered as 5k armor. self found league fan

I stopped reading after page 1, however never died to anything that does chaos damage. Hardcore for lyfe yo, and all that other rah rah rah crap.

Chaos damage is intended as a test of player skill, but implemented rather poorly.
if you happen to desync or lag for half a second near a pack of Undying Alchemists, Poison Archers or Snakes/Vaal Automatons - you'd better pray to whatever god you believe in. the only things that can save you at that point, are either being CI or having a ton of HP. the second option is practically impossible after 0.11, without a specific unique. the first option is too costly for my taste (HP=1). there is also a third option, but it too requires a specific unique (Shavronne's Wrappings). and what few Chaos resistance nodes the tree has, are mostly in the Witch section - which is just wrong. I think that either Chaos damage needs an overhaul, making it resemble elemental damage (just a lot harder to max-out) - or there simply need to be a lot more chaos resistance nodes. in every character's part of the tree. lol no so many mobs use chaos,besides u could use flask that increase ressistence on chaos,if they lover dmg of chaos made upon u just like that then CI will lose its value,to abandon entire HP just to get little more ress on chaos is stupid

chaos damage is there to counter brainless trash like low-life builds.
unfortunately shavronne's makes it pointless and most players have trouble with chaos damage anyway unless they have good money. |
