Gender selection.

Why is it that we cant choose gender of our characters? why do i have to play a female sorcerer or a female ranger? maybe i want those but male.
I always wondered why GGG doesnt allow for gender selection. Maybe its a silly request but i think it would be cool that u can choose what gender u play with regardless of class selection. Bump if u would like this too. Dernier bump le 17 févr. 2026 à 17:09:30

This game identity is stil unclear and the community is split on many ways regarding which direction GGG should commit.
Ask again when 1.0 is out because right now, a lot of players, including myself, are waiting to see which way they're going with 0.5. If they do commit to slow pacing and ridiculous loot pinata like temple mechanics, some people like me will simply delete the game and never come back. |

Anyway i think that adding gender selection will add a cool qol feature without hurting anyone, including people like u that thinks it's fine as it is, since u could still play as u do today but u would also have the option to change the gender. " NO. I'd rather POE2 find it's identity and polish the game fully to adhere it's original philosophy. Anything is a distraction, because first and foremost, the gameplay should be completed. The only visual argument I would accept is reducing clusterfk. Making things more beautiful, porting MTX, new effect, new graphic card, whatever is a waste of resources. It's not silly at all, especially as a new player coming to play for the first time it would help them make a decision based on the novelty of the character, what they think is cool and relates to their interest.

I agree with OP. I read somewhere on the forum that they could potentially give MTX for skin transfers. Like, imagine you are playing from the ranger starting location and have her ascendancy, but you are using the Mercenary model, voice, and story beats. Another potential option was introducing brand new characters and voices as MTX. I'm fine with either, but I would like to play female characters in the other starting nodes, please.
