GGG should focus on 1 game, and that is POE2

I agree with the text but not with the title. Change 2 to 1.

Honestly, at first I was thinking the same. But looking at how PoE2 develops over time I find it extremely boring and unfun, which previously (0.1) was not the case. Right now the game is much better in terms of QoL but the game itself is a dead child with no real fun in it. Just compare the amount of builds we had in 0.1 to 0.4. Ironically, we have more skills, but we have less viable builds and less archetypes to play around. Yes, 0.1 was a mess in terms of balance, but the fact that everything was strong meant that you could build any bullshit and actually had fun.
For some reason mages can't use heralds skills still, for example herald of agony was nerfed to be used only with attack skills - stuff like that just makes the game worse and worse. New mechanics like harbringers or volatiles for spellcasters just don't work, becuase they have drastic drawbacks and require too much investment to be viable. Oh the irony.. Coming from PoE1 I was always primarily a melee guy. My first character in PoE2 was using a mace. They said they will fix Warrior.. yeah, sure. They fixed me - I don't want to play any mace\slam archetype anymore. Honestly, I don't think the game is fixable until they shift their developing mindset drastically. Because what's happening right now is that with their balance tweaks I don't feel engaged at all, despite being a pretty experienced player. My in-game time at all-time lows as well, just came back after watching the Chris' economic integrity video to check how the league goes for everyone else. PoE1 is better right now. PoE2 should be completely rethinked until it is too late. I hope for the best, but do not expect too much. Dernière édition par grynnder#7112, le 6 janv. 2026 à 07:26:40

" Dude, this is ridiculous. PoE1's fanbase considers PoE2 a quarter of a game in many ways, so naturally, PoE1 fans will want to continue playing. Maybe PoE2 will be given a chance once it's finished. There are over 100 differences in gameplay enjoyment between the two games... |

it only takes common sense to know that POE1 is old news these days, they made their money with that gasme, but now the new hotness is POE2
If you want GGG to focus on one game, it will definitely be POE2. otherwise they will have wasted all those resources for nothing to create the game. there is no going backwards on this ride anymore. meaning there is no chance that GGG focuses more on POE1 than POE2. that would be a big mistake and they know it. Sorry POE1 lovers, you aint got a chance to win this one. Dernière édition par ZaruenVoresu#5823, le 6 janv. 2026 à 07:40:45

" You're wrong, and that won't happen, because Poe 2 isn't a continuation of Poe 1 and doesn't carry on with Poe 1's vision. Poe 2 carries on Jonathan and Mark's vision. So I don't think there's any chance they'll abandon Poe 1... |

" I think the worst part is how almost all of the people with this mindset have barely played PoE 1 but want to put it down for some reason. It is really strange. Is this really the type of gamers GGG wants to cater to? |

I think closing POE1 would be a mistake right now for sure. I know the numbers were super high for POE2 launch but I'm sure there are more than a few of me who bought into the idea that POE2 skills would be just as, if not more connected then POE1. Unfortunately, that is not the case. It's really sad in my opinion, because I was really hoping for the best of both worlds. I enjoy the harder difficulty, and looks of POE2 but I prefer how rewarding the skills are in POE1. I do not like the new skill system, it completely breaks from the immersion for me. It just makes sense that a skill gets stronger the more you use it, rather then some random skill gem that lets you pick a skill from a list. I think the opportunity was blown to really incorporate the game systems into the world. Also, POE2 is a very incomplete game. If you owned an old Honda Civic and a beautiful R34 Skyline GTR that had only 2 tires and was missing a turbo, would you give away the Honda before you finished the build? Probably not, if you have any sense.

" I don't want them to pull the plug on PoE1 either because when there is a crap season like this one, at least I can jump to poe1 |
