" Personally I dislike single portal maps, its a terrible way to punish players and gives them no way of learning content. All maps should have at least 1 retry. Its easy enough to disable teleport in boss room. As for the slower gameplayer thing. Slower does not have to equal harder or even really "Slower" for that matter, it just equals more engaging. Having a back and forth between yourself and the rare, not having the rare die in less than 3 seconds, I am happy to zoom zoom AoE hundres of trash monsters until I reach the rare mob then switch gears for a more 1v1 type fight. Perfect reason to have those weapon swap skills that are so lackluster. I would expect 30s-60s per rare. Bosses actually taking 2-3 minutes to kill. Hell if you want to encourage players then have them drop extra loot if they kill the boss in under 2 minutes. If they need to increase drop rates to actually make this happen that's fine, make mobs/rares drop more loot to compensate for the extra time it takes to complete a map. A lot of players won't like the style of play but this is what the game was advertised as and I would like to see them deliver it. " They could do what they want with Ruthless leagues. Balance decisions should be primarily made for the standard leagues. Making a harder version of something isn't rocket science, with or without scaling, and it doesn't need to be perfect. |
