Give me predictive networking mode or give me death.

Fix your home network. It's your core issue.
You can buy a quality router/firewall for under 300$, that does not require a license. That will serve you for +10 years. Check out Unifi cloud gateways and dream machines. Now, if you trully can't afford this, or it's out of your control. I understand, you can tell your system to QoS your traffic so it drops traffic on the network with priority using DSCP. Cisco has a guide on this just google the below. "Enable DSCP QoS Tagging on Windows Machines" Xilly on YT has a guide on this. "HOW TO SET GAMES TO HIGH PRIORITY FOR INTERNET" Now, soemthing to keep in mind, MOST ISP's do not honor QoS tags as thery cross the interent and best effort is used. This would be a internal network change. Also, you can be creating a network problem for everyone else in your home. But honestly, your network is the issue and you should address it. " No. The idea that in 2025 we have to wait twice time to do any action, to get response from the server in non competitive game is ridiculous. Even Dota 2 do a lot of stuff client-side to smooth experience. It's just laziness of developers + dog tier servers. On Probation Any%

" Never said it's not my network issue. It's the issue that different networking mode (the one PoE1 has) solves it though. And no I'm not paying 10x price of a game for a new router that would solve problem isolated in one single game (or couple others I have no interest in) when current router is just fine in everything else, including other live service games. Now Cisco guide I have to look into. I have searched for ways to prioritize my packets, but all I seen is ability to prioritize within same PC over other background tasks that might be using bandwidth which would be little to no help. |
