Give me predictive networking mode or give me death.

Tittle says it all. I can't play PoE II without dropping extra few hundred for advanced router with SQM to combat bufferbloat. That is poor investment when only game that is affected by it is PoE series and PoE 1 has a solution. Plenty of people share consumer grade routers with family. Many people have bad routing as well. That causes network latency spikes. PoE with lockstep and PoE II with whatever networking mode it has does not like it at all. No other game I have played has issues with small latency spikes. But that's besides the point.
I realize Predictive mode does not fix latency spikes, but it makes you not feel it at all, until eventual rubber band to sync the character if latency got real bad. That is miles better than game world freezing with every network latency spike, however small. Give me predictive networking mode or give me death! Dernier bump le 21 déc. 2025 à 12:21:06

Those lag spikes haunts us for a year at this point. EU region being worst in that regard. It becomes impossible to play for me after evening. Doesn't matter what day it is, doesn't matter start of a league or league is dead already it's always the same pattern.

" It's likely you are getting same lag spikes in every single game due to your router getting congested and gaming packets not getting prioritized when someone else is using internet on same connection for movies and such, you just not feeling it, cause most of games run some kind of predictive networking mode and/or are way less sensitive to packet loss and latency spikes than PoE is. Unless you have router that can prioritize gaming packets over others. I never felt when someone in my house is starting streaming videos before I started playing Poe II. It has 0 effect on mmorpg's I played. Only PoE ever had consistent latency spikes and ofc I always blamed servers. But it's 100% issue on my end and it's a very common one. Though PoE can mask those spikes with predictive networking mode and if they are not crazy high, you won't feel a thing ever, that's what solved it for me. AND WE NEED THE SAME IN POE II ! |

" I don't understand, there's a group on this forum with serious cognitive difficulties interpreting text. And worse than that, they still comment and mock the OP without reading the text, without reasoning, and without actually understanding what's happening. OP posted a photo (which isn't photoshopped) to make a comparison between PoE1 and PoE2 settings. And the guy just said he couldn't play PoE2. And then some 10000000000000000 IQ intelligence comes along and says: "Photoshop". God have mercy on this world. We're lost with this Generation Z. |
