[Feedback] Campaign - Choose Normal or Cruel Difficulty @ Character Selection Screen

- A flat 10 resistance penalty wouldn't make the game itself more difficult, it just puts more strain on getting better gear. Most people are overcapped on resistances as it is.
- 25% monster life would still be trivialized for a lot of builds.

I updated resistance penalty so it would increase as you complete acts: -5% for Act 1, -10% for Act 2 and so forth. As for monster life buffed by 25%, that is the monster life back in 0.1.0 before monsters were nerfed. Obviously, GGG should nerf OP builds in the same patch to not trivialize content.

There will be alot of players who would like something like hell d2 campaign difficulty.

It would get a great addition if GGG offered two difficulty settings for the campaign at the character selection screen. Cruel difficulty would feel similar to Hell difficulty in D2.

You can already make the game harder if you want. Just play with worse gear.
I don't understand why anyone would want this. You already over level pretty easily during the campaign. An additional 10% increased experience when you're over leveled will always make playing this "cruel" mode a dumb idea to choose?
I guess we're at the point where we need a Cruel difficulty option. 0.3.1 looks like will be making the game even easier.
Or...or...people who want a harder mode could just make it themselves. Don't wear pants, don't wear a chest piece, don't level gems, whatever. You can always make a game harder, you don't need the devs to do that if you really want a challenge.

What an asinine thing to say.

What a really stupid suggestion to make the campaign harder, could also try to play the game with my toes or blindfolded too. That would be a real challenge.

Why? That's what people used to do. No, they didn't take their pants off, but hardcore used to be people who simply deleted a character once they died in Torchlight. Players made the game harder for themselves. They didn't use weapon sockets. They didn't use this mechanic or that mechanic. You can always make the game harder if you want. Why does the game need to do it for you?

What is the difference if the game gets harder either way? Why does it have to be done by GGG?

Simple. D2 successfully had difficulty tiers for campaign, so can PoE2.
