[Feedback] Campaign - Choose Normal or Cruel Difficulty @ Character Selection Screen

With Patch 0.3.0, Cruel difficulty was removed and replaced with Act 4 and 3 Interludes. I would like to suggest to add Cruel difficulty back in Patch 0.4.0 for extra challenge during the campaign. At the Character Select Screen, players would choose between Normal or Cruel difficulty. Normal difficulty is the campaign as of now, and Cruel difficulty would have added challenge (see details below).

A Cruel character can only be created on initial character creation and will play in a separate League. Cruel difficulty can also be enabled alongside other difficulty enhancing game modes like Solo Self-Found or Hardcore.

Campaign (Normal Difficulty)
* Requirements: Available at campaign start
* Recommended: For newer players seeking story
* Monsters & Bosses: Standard
* Penalties: None
* Bonuses: None

Campaign (Cruel Difficulty)
* Requirements: Available at campaign start
* Recommended: For experienced players seeking challenge
* Monsters & Bosses: Monsters and bosses are more difficult, receive a flat 25% health increase
* Penalties: Permanent -5% all resistance penalty will cumulatively apply after completing each act
* Bonuses: Players receive 5% more experience and gold

That has been happening for many many years my friend.
It is a bit surprising that POE doesn't have a difficulty option. I think there would have to be more thought put into what difficulty means. E.g.,

- A flat 10 resistance penalty wouldn't make the game itself more difficult, it just puts more strain on getting better gear. Most people are overcapped on resistances as it is.
- 25% monster life would still be trivialized for a lot of builds.

Ruthless in POE1 was a good concept, but it had a few issues of its own. Namely, auras and support gems being drop only and the map drop rate being abysmal.

It's crazy to say because POE2 is only in 0.3, but it kind of feels like we need a Ruthless mode already. Or better yet, there should be an "Easy Mode" and the current default experience is tuned to be way more difficult.

GGG could balance the game to be challenging and then have a mode that just flat multiplies player dmg by 20 and speed by 10- 0 effort implementation.
GGG trying to balance the game around zoom zoom is ironic because the crowd that enjoys zoom zoom doesn't care at all about balance to begin with.

Ay it was. Stoped enjoying it in 2017 or something. Anyway if someone likes acts so much i got some good news. I see Navali is added to game so there might also be prophecies in upcoming patches that will make you return to acts to fight some boss

Do not speak for everyone.
There will be alot of players who would like something like hell d2 campaign difficulty.

It wont be athing tho.
Most probable only for timed gauntlet events and for private leagues with mods, like we have it for poe1.
