You seem to be confusing 'slog' and 'too long'. No wonder you're coping hard with the direction the game will take: being slower.

El. oh. él.

The game will never truly be slower, so long as Breach and Delirium are in the game. Timers inherently force players to play faster, lest they be punished by getting little to no reward.

You can argue that campaign is being designed to be slow, but I think a lot of people hate the whiplash that comes from transitioning from that to endgame. People that come in wanting a slow and tactical game will be left disappointed when the endgame devolves back to PoE 1's zoom-and-boom playstyle.

As for slog in campaign, there are plenty of places that GGG could trim down areas. For starters, act zones in general feel very large so you spend a lot of time walking. Some zones simply don't need to exist such as the waterways in act 3 on the way to draining the Utzaal lake. GGG's had to do this before in PoE 1 by removing unnecessary zones in campaign such as the dark wood and coves.

Sure, because you can't have longer timers with less and harder mobs, because that's mutually exclusive.

El. oh. él.

That's not the point. No matter how lenient, so long as any timer exists, there is always going to be a gear check. The existence of a gear check will compel players to optimize themselves for speed. PoE 1 also has some leagues with generous timers (ex. Incursion), but that hasn't stopped people from making builds that annihilate maps in 30 seconds.

Breach and Delirium have precursor tablets which disable timers outright. Those should be baked into the mechanic, just delete the timers.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Of course that's possible with timers. Just means better balancing and nerfing of very obvious op stuff.

But there is not enough man-power with poe1 still going.
This is a reminder, for anyone that has already forgot how 0.2 was atrocious.

0.3 is a good thing.

Even if the end game needs still needs a lot of work, the bosses needs to be harder but the progression and mapping are in a good spot.

We should all rejoice that the vision has died.
Treat yourselves with good food, this is fantastic.
