it was about the same. if you think it was slower in 0.3 its because instead of repeating the same content again you had to do new content for the first time but that doesnt mean they made the campaign slower. doing things for the first time always takes a bit longer

So tell us: why is the vocal minority so hard at the 'sloggy' campaign in 0.3, but not 0.2?

Almost no one said 'slog', just complained about 'cruel'.

lol what? people have been complaining about the campaign from as early as 0.1. people always said that its too long and too slow. always. "slog" also came up many times. and "cruel" was actually easier/faster because by that time you had some decent gear and had more points in your tree etc

now i know for sure that you are just baiting people so i'm done with you

You seem to be confusing 'slog' and 'too long'. No wonder you're coping hard with the direction the game will take: being slower.

The game will never truly be slower, so long as Breach and Delirium are in the game. Timers inherently force players to play faster, lest they be punished by getting little to no reward.

You can argue that campaign is being designed to be slow, but I think a lot of people hate the whiplash that comes from transitioning from that to endgame. People that come in wanting a slow and tactical game will be left disappointed when the endgame devolves back to PoE 1's zoom-and-boom playstyle.

As for slog in campaign, there are plenty of places that GGG could trim down areas. For starters, act zones in general feel very large so you spend a lot of time walking. Some zones simply don't need to exist such as the waterways in act 3 on the way to draining the Utzaal lake. GGG's had to do this before in PoE 1 by removing unnecessary zones in campaign such as the dark wood and coves.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

You're 100% delusional. The game is way faster now than it was in 0.2 be it campaign or endgame, and everybody sees it.

And if it's not enough for you, the most obvious sign of where things are going is the league mechanic introduced in 0.3. Does Abyss (with the mob density that it has) look like a mechanic design for slower combat ? I don't think so.

Sorry to say, but I guess you're delusional, if you really think the 0.3 campaign is faster than 0.2. Vocal minority complaining that it's way slower than before. Don't you hear your own crowd? Or do you just choose to ignore them?

You understand they just copied the league mechanic from poe1, so they have something to give the players, since maintaining 2 games is hard?

Don't worry, they will tone it down and it will be slower again, delulu-man.

Sure, because you can't have longer timers with less and harder mobs, because that's mutually exclusive.

0.3 has been an excellent patch. very much enjoying the current state of the game.
endgame changes in 0.4 will hopefully be great, judging by all the changes they have made since 0.1 i think they will do more good work.
