PoE2; The game VS the farming/casino sim
" Some classes are overtuned and it is easier for them than the other. Having play two classes I found one tough and the other easy. That will be balanced. Now unless you have beaten the Arbiter on HCSSF I think there are still challenges. Try SSF instead of buying everything. Try to craft your own gear. Try HC maybe. Until then you will have to wait. You want it harder relative to your class ... that is subjective and might make it impossible for other classes. Balance is not simple. |

" This is not PoE 1, so no. |

" Turns out the game gets easier the more you play it. Feel free to do some speed runs, hitless, or weird builds. You can have a much difficulty as you like. | |
" pretty much, you can def choose your own adventure in poe2. this league playing, or rather attempting, fire witch i got really REALLY good at dodging Napuazzi spears. so the mechanics are still very much there. well till Interludes, shit breaks down there real fast, 3/10 for interludes from me |

Sprinting and crafting are nice, but the lack of real threat makes the whole campaign feel hollow. I ended up trying some builds while checking out non-ukcasinos.org for fun, and even casual setups melt bosses way too fast.

" Well that's funny because to me loot pinatas are supposed to be exciting, and at least 80% of all the loot in this game is literally garbage, you can spend 200 exalts crafting the item that you want or just buy them for just 10 exalts from other players That's also one of the reasons why 90% of the community uses lootfilters, can we really use the term "loot pinata" when the only thing dropping is trash? I really do feel that in a game that works off simply mathematics, where employing the numbers correctly will allow you to overpower practically any encounter any mechanic any "challenge", it is not really a good place to be looking for a challenge.
And if you insist on looking for a challenge in a genre where the whole point is to accumulate enough numbers to overpower everything, then you could always take off some of those numbers yourself. For me the whole reason this genre even exists is so people can feel powerful, not to provide a challenge. I don't believe this genre ever really provided a challenge to anyone. Even with some of the games that provide infinitely scaling endgame content, ultimately it's a mathematical problem that doesn't require any player skill beyond pointing and clicking quickly. |

I don't agree that the game is too easy. It is too much like a slot machine. Because of that it has to be easier. If we had to lock in every map, players would quickly get burned out.
Slot machine have to be mindless. My problem is how much "fun" is designed to come from being a slot machine. Slot machines bore me personally. However, quite a few players like the mindless slot machine so I don't know. |
