Twice the amount of rares won't do anything good for you, you should go through a hundred of rare items just to get something reasonably good. And consider MF hurts your perfomance you need 150-200% MF to get twice the amount

we're playing the same game, but viewing it from 2 very different perspectives.

level to xx and finish the game? if finishing the game means completing all the 77 maps, i've done that a long time ago.

the game can be completed too easily if u're only aiming to get a certain level or to complete merciless / highest lvl maps. but that's not how i play poe, to me it's about making multiple charcs with different builds, and farming for gear to equip all those charcs.

back to finding rares, yes it takes a ton of rares to get something good, but by not using ir/iq gear, it will take a whole lot more of luck and time. and i find at least 8-10 rares+ PER BOSS, so that's a lot more than just twice the amount of rares. MF only hurts your performance at the start, before u can afford good mf gear which does not compromise survivability and dps. that's where i am at now, sure it took a lot of time and effort, but that's the whole point of the game... to keep finding items and improve your charcs.

Im farming lunaris temple(merciless) lvl 1-2 or 2-3. Just random what stairway I find first.
Im running with 160% rarity and 30% quant(ish numbers, close to that)

I did a few runs. I feelt that the drops were very very bad.
So I started to take notes.

5 runs lvl 1-2: 5 rares, 1 alch
4 runs lvl 2-3: 4 rares, 1 alch, 1 chaos

So I ran to docks, since I remember that I got TONS of rares there with this much rarity/quant.

5 docks runs: 25 rare, 2 alchs, 1 chaos, 1 gcp

...

This can ofc be rng speaking.

So I have continued to run lunaris, without taking notes.. and the drops are just aweful. I think on avarege I get 1 rare per full run.

Just wanted to check if anyone else feelt this?
Most likly scenario is that I just haveing bad luck.
But I feels very strange running that high rarity+quant and seeing 1 white+1 blue dropping from rare bosses or 2 whites from elite packs.

EDIT: just opened a "large chest". 2 scrolls, rest whites. I dont know if rarity applies to the chest. But that is the first time I opened a chest without getting atleast 4+ blues.

do you really think GGG makes it so easy to get more loot than others ?

even if you had 1600% and 300% you wouldnt get yellows and orange drops all time.....

never mind how high you raise your loot Quantity/quality , you will never get much more than others.
