Abyss ground DOT

So they added a physical dot which you have nearly no ways of mitigating in this game besides rare sources of physical damage reduction and then made the same ground effect disable regen ? that's funny in a twisted kind of way lmao. definitely needs to be changed.
Blocking Recovery is a stupid mechanic.
The Shade Walker mod is definitely wrong. It does just too much at once. Why is it so bad? The ground is just too powerful:

- It has huge area of effect

- It appears both on the starting and ending points of monster's teleport

- It's duration is just a little shorter than teleport cooldown, so there is just a little span, when there are no stains on the ground

- It deals physical DoT while dealing as much damage as though you were supposed to have 75% physical damage resistance (you won't have it, it's DoT)

- Many monsters just won't move after teleport and try to attack you from distance (kiting is really hard and tiresome)

- It does disable life and ES recovery. Not regen, not leech - recovery. Your flasks doesn't replenish your life, you don't get hp on hit/kill, you don't even get that sweet 50% max HP recovered on heavy stunning enemy. Use boneshatter, to just slightly enter the pool and you get no life from stun - not nice.

Even fighting such monstrosity 1v1 is absolutely tiresome and difficult for melee toons, unless you got some big AoE. Get that on a lightless snek, that is invulnerable 50% of the time and you get a really exciting gameplay. Shade Walker needs to go for a walk and return when it calms down.

Oh gosh so I wasn't imagining it that my life flask wasn't working! I didn't realise that's even a thing! Here I was thinking that maybe I need to replace my keyboard because I was definitely spamming my life flask lol. Why the heck would they even do something like that? So now what, they just expect melee characters to run away?

I have 56 chaos res and 75 fire res, still it own me every single time. Can't play like that.
Add to it very low fps (i can't afford a 6K$ 5090TI PC, i still have a 2080Ti that for other games is more than enought) even if i lowered everything to the minimum possible. Ad it to an everpresent debuf like frozen ground or Temporal Chains....
This season is great by a side, but pure puke on the other...i really wanted to spend 60/90€ on their pack...maybe next season

There are 2 dots on poe2db on physical one chaos tghe physical one disables recover of es and life.

And yes its physical dmg. Doesnt make sense to me thats it is physical tho.

the visibility is the problem imo, and the visibility is a problem because all of the other abyss mods going off too. the meteors for example just take up your entire screen, the void mod with the big storm on the ground hides all degen, etc.

but if you can't kill the mob because you can't stand in the degen at all, then that's a problem with your character. I have no regen on my ES, DOT is my biggest weakness, and I stand inside abyss DOTs killing monsters constantly

I think you guys are trying to do content you do not have the DPS for yet, abyss overrun maps for example will honestly kill characters worth 100s of div. if you are just doing natural abyss on decently rolled rare maps it is real chill usually, but if you're adding deli or running desecrated mods like "union of souls" or "increased difficulty and reward for each opened pit" or "overrun by the abyss" then you should be kitted out for it and ok with dying
